still collating the data, but doesn't look like that many (co.uk & org.uk) now have just 1 application. Some individuals have gone in for many names.... still 24hrs to go so will be interesting to see the numbers once the dust settles...
I would be very surprised if any of the .co.uk names will have just one application

Some stats:

bb.co.uk has the largest increase in applications (9)
closely followed by ca.co.uk ( 8 )

ox.org.uk has the largest increase in .org.uk applications (4)

Highest Overall applications
.co.uk: bb.co.uk (42) with ip.co.uk second on (37)
.org.uk: id.org.uk ( 8 ) with the following in second place (7 apps each):
dr.org.uk
go.org.uk
it.org.uk
pr.org.uk
us.org.uk

No .co.uk domains with only 1 application

Guess I defintely won't be getting my initials then...

148 .org.uk's only have 1 application (and those are all applications by the same company!!)
3 .co.uk's only have 6 applications (lowest for .co.uk): mq.co.uk, qj.co.uk, qz.co.uk

Here's the joke of the matter. Putting aside all these phases that have been put into place, none of the mainstream providers are geared up for 2 characters anyway, so whether or not there are any (me.uk in this instance) left, they would still need to be ordered via the few members who have offered an ordering service.

interesting applications....

google for g.co.uk
facebook for fb.co.uk

wonder who'll be winning those applications then?

lol
anyone else who applied for those may as well have wiped their arse on a tenner

Not necessarily - there's no proxy bidding if I remember rightly

So if their bidding team is related to "customer services" or their "tech support" teams then everyone in that Auction has a better chance of winning as both companies are effing useless when you need somethng!

doesn't that just mean they can go with an opening bid of 10k (for arguments sake) and then continue adding 10k should anyone bid higher within the alloted time? Would be surprised if they hadn't budgeted at least xxk to pick up the names

ALL .co.uk, .org.uk and .me.uk domains now have paid for applications.

And how do TagNames (aka a hugh) expect to get away with all the .me.uk's. Surely that's against the t&c of them being associated with personal names only.

Nominet may have accepted the applications, but I bet down the line they'll be pretty snappy at revoking any registration.

One can hope so anyway! :/

I doubt it tbh. A LOT of me.uk's are held in the names of individuals but are actually truely owned by companies. As long as it's registered to an individual my honest opinion is Nominet will do nothing.
