It is funny though how humans come up with things like the simulation theory, pretty much because we are at a technological point where we can create simulations. The reality is that however we are here, or whatever life is, our stupid human brains will never be able to comprehend anyway. In all honesty there is no point even thinking about it as we will always use human logic to try and figure it out.

My first reaction after the 'thats frickin amazing' was to think he was being a selfish schoolboy bunging a car up instead of using the opportunity to launch some science related project. I looked into it though at it seems that no one will put payload on an untested system as the payload is normally worth a fortune. On most test launches they use iron/steel as dead weight ,so the car makes more sense in terms of it could have been anything.

Certainly makes better press.

The last stage of the rocket. I think its missed the mars orbit so is on its way to asteroid belt ( I think)

Rocket fuel. It's already burned, and the Tesla is already in an orbit that will take it out between Mars and Jupiter no more fuel required for a billion years.
You could quite easily find out if you weren't a science-denying idiot.

Its already done the final burn. It was hanging around in the Van Allen belts getting hammered waiting for the right window i guess. It's on its way now though. Although the original plan put it in a permanant Mars orbit I think they've had to re calculate and aim for slightly different trajectory
