This is a good tip that I follow myself, but you will never get more than £7 commission for any sale via amazon UK, as this is a commission cap and has nothing to do with a % of sale.

Thats true.
But to clarify, before anyone gets scared off, that the £7 cap is per item & not per transaction.
So a strategy I'm using is to go for products <£120-140 (or there abouts)

A good example I had today was that someone ordered 5 X items @ £75+ each.
I got £20+ commission on that order. - I don't think there is anything wrong with that.

Its right that High end priced items perhaps?? aren't ideal to sell through Amazon.
But IMO its not as simple as that because you probably won't get such a good conversion rate with many other merchants then you will with Amazon.

Amazon converts really well & you have to factor that in.
So you could even argue that products priced even higher will return greater profit when selling through Amazon.

Just my thoughts.

The domains you have achieving positions - are they because exact match is very low with no competition, hence results.....

......or are the positions exceeding your expectations in the early days considering newness and existing competition?

Google has much more sophisticated ways of spotting a "footprint" than just by the credit link, If you guys are really bothered about that you need to diversify the templates your all using. Carey has even given a plain template to build upon, I urge you all to check it out here.... before an algorithm in big G stops FSB in its tracks :!:

Has anyone noticed there sites doing the google dance, for a couple of months now mine keeps jumping up and down the rankings, only in google tho, seems to do really well for 4 days, then drops for 5 days then comes back again, its the same amount of days every time and has been doing it for the last 2 months? but not for the first 2 motnhs

I had a similar problem myself if I remember. The way I got round it was to look at the source code to see what the header/logo image has been renamed to - it has a datestamp appended to the end.

Copy that filename and use it to rename your image on your local computer, then use your FTP client to upload it to the images/template folder.

Let me know if that works...
