I had been thinking about celebrating with a nice steak and a bottle of red but I guess that works too...
With so many days passed, I feel that;
.uk will not be scrapped
neither will .uk be introduced in the method of the last proposal.
That only leaves either changes to fix things like the short auction problem, the reserved names, pricing and maybe a total rethink to enable "automatic" rather than or "opt in" etc.
OR a larger rethink about making.uk for business again as per the first proposal and some sort of grandfathering of .co.uk domains?
Would they put a release out on a friday then close for the weekend? I don't think they would, surely they'd sit on it till the Monday?
Nominet’s agenda for the coming months comprises: a proposed addition to the product range by opening up registrations at the second level of .uk (i.e. www.example.uk); a new contract with registrars aimed at raising standards, and a programme to enhance security across the namespace.
The company is also focused on improved member communications and is seeking member support for governance changes that it believes will create an improved Board structure moving forward.
Well based on this delay ...
What delay? They said they would report back in early November. We're still in the first third of the month, no need to worry just yet.
If they don't release relevant information today, then Monday is the 11th and you struggle to rate that as early November.
