Rob - it would be to highlight the changes for people who are used to the old tool.

If you don't like the idea let me know and I will recommend that it should not be created.

intuitive ; automatic, without requiring conscious thought; easily understood or grasped by intuition; having a marked degree of intuition

Don't Sedo and 1&1 make such a happy couple :p

Like they say there is someone for everyone

The .co.uk search problem has been fixed. You should now see .co.uk results when searching. Please select .co.uk as the tld.

Also you will shortly have an option for the .com and .co.uk 1&1 sites so if you are from the UK and want to register a name you can choose the UK site. Currently it just being changed to .co.uk site if your IP address is from the UK.

Hi Joanna,

I give you 10 out of 10 for all your efforts and for always responding to questions on this forum and emails. It's a shame that the group that own Sedo don't have the same resolve in sorting out the procedures and practices of your sister company 1&1. There have been numerous threads on acorn of the misery 1&1 have brought to the lives of many acorn members. Some have been tearing their hair out in trying to deal with 1&1's accounts department and the debt collection companies instructed by 1&1 even when the domains in question have been cancelled. Our company hasn't had these problems but can verify that the renewal procedures of 1&1 leave a lot to be desired. The way they make it very difficult to simply lapse an unwanted domain is a bad practice. They have also invoiced near or past the renewal date so you are sucked into another renewal period. I am slightly embarrased to admit that we still have a few domains with 1&1 but we would certainly not buy a new domain through them.

I think it would be better to promote your other sister company Fasthosts. On the whole they provide a good service (although bulk domain management facilities are still to be provided) and their renewal procedures are fairly straightforward with the ability to go to the control panel and click the 'do not renew' button if the domain is not wanted (although this has to be done a month in advance of renewal so you need to be on your toes). Please Joanna ask 1&1 to introduce decent renewal procedures along the lines of the one operated by Fasthosts and I think your promotion of 1&1 on this forum will be better received.

Kind regards,

Nigel

Hi Nigel

Thank you very much for your constructive feedback.

The registrar link in the new search is merely a suggestion/link for convenience/ease of use.

Please be assured I have passed your comment to Senior Management and have asked if it is possible to ad the registrar option for Fasthosts also.

Kind regards

Joanna

Joanna, I think we all love you, you never seem to lose your rag or respond adversely to our frustrations. Go on, say it to yourself:
'Those f*****g b*****d acorn members, they're getting on my t**s sla***ng us off, how much bl***y longer do I have to defend our services from their very reasonable requests? If only I was running Sedo in the UK, I'd start by ............
;)

Thanks for your support doubletap.

I try to be professional!

Something else worth noting. If you search for a particular domain name (using IE7 as your browser) you cannot see / click a "continue" button, so can't do anything at all !

Thank you I have logged the IE7 problem as a bug and it will be resolved shortly.

Kind regards

Joanna

I have to say well done to Joanna, we threw a load of problems at you and you got onto them straight away with no fuss

Keep it up

Thank you very much Doodlebug. Your comment is greatly appreciated.

I am trying my best to get all your requests sorted. I am still working on some.

I will notify you when changes have been confirmed.

regards

Joanna :)
