My Euro Bets 2012

Yeah, was surprised by the odds, 170/1 for something which could easily happen.

Just checked and they now dropped to 130/1, still very good.

2-2 at half time they are great odds for that. Ray Clemence gone off with injury we have that many injuries and players missing we will end up winning the competion never mind France. It is our time, I can feel it! Cmon hingerland.

Another draw at half time so bets are down but, on the plus side, had England remained 1-0 up at half time, I would have been shouting for the French to win in the second half, now I wont have to do that, come on England :)

It wasn't a bad result for England, all things considered.

My usual ht/ft both ways, 2-1 both ways and preds team/draw bet but the latter is outside of the research bets.
Good luck everyone.

Gone for HT-FT results again, 60 x £1 doubles this time on these matches:

Czech Republic/Greece @ 33/1

Greece/Czech Republic @ 33/1

Russia/Poland @ 33/1

Poland/Russia @ 33/1

Germany/Holland @ 28/1

Holland/Germany @ 25/1

Croatia/Italy @ 28/1

Italy/Croatia @ 35/1

France/Ukraine @ 35/1

Ukraine/France @ 28/1

Portugal/Denmark @ 40/1

Denmark/Portugal @ 25/1

General betting question: Doesn't it kind of miss the point of long odds if you also place lots of bets? In other words, if a 25/1 long-shot comes off but you've bet on say 20 different outcomes, isn't your maximum profit £5 (assuming all £1 bets)?

They are different events so more than one can win.

Yes, if you put £1 on each of 20 different outcomes as singles but, mine are £1 doubles, so, say the HT-FT result was Russia/Poland @ 33/1, that gives £34 going on to any of the second legs of any doubles, if France/Ukraine @ 35/1 including the stake would return £1224 for the £1 double.

Yes it does reduce the odds. For my bet I am using 4 bets if none come in I lose £2 if one comes in then my maximum loss is 3 bets but the odds on each bet are long enough to cover the bet and then some. There is also the possibility of 2 bets coming in.
