Could someone possible post the Whois location where you can check the LL domains registered.

The normal whois works for domains that have been paid for, those that havent been paid for or havent yet been auctioned give an error. The sunrise whois just lists the applicants. My bulk whois site handles ll's if you want to check a few at a time.

clearly the speculators are out in force on these 1 and 2 letter domains

Dear Sir or Madam ,

Hello, my name is Tony Adams and I am brokering the sale of the following
domain names:

P.co.uk $75,000
In.co.uk (offers sought)
Do.co.uk (offers sought)
F.co.uk (offers sought)
ER.co.uk (offers sought)
Of.co.uk (offers sought)

Any transaction would need to be taken via escrow.com with the buyer paying
all fees. Should you have any interest in acquiring any of the listed
domains, please reply to this message or call me directly at my phone number
for further discussion.

We are also brokering many more premium domains, feel free to email me your
areas of interest and I will endeavor to match your request. Thank you for
taking the time to read this message. I hope to hear from you soon.

Regards,

Tony Adams

Nominet and NFPAS wish to be as open and transparent as possible.

I'd suggest that the comment about being open and transparent probably means that this particular email is not intended to be confidential.

that's just a standard line companies have at the bottom of their emails
it's more in case emails go to the wrong place I think

Personally I would say the big surprise lies in the amounts spent on .org.uk domains. It's almost like people knew they would be outbid on .co.uk domains and focused their rage elsewhere

I Spoke to Nominet earlier about L.co.uk / BB.co.uk:

The invoices was cancelled due to non payment and then because there were no outstanding invoice their system automatically registered both domains.

They noticed the problem fairly quickly and reverted the problem.

bloody last minute bidding
they should have bins :D

They should have all started ridiculously high, say 5 million :-? and dropped in price every minute with a buy now button. :D

yeah a dutch auction would have been better

or got 'jonesy' to list them in the acorn offers section :D

or a raffle, everyone who wants a particular name pays £10 and it's drawn out of a hat :p

this last minute bidding is breaking me lol
it's really getting on my MOOBS!
