It's sheer madness the prices. I was told by someone that I would spend most of Sept tied up with the auctions. I have spent 3 hours in total and closed the screen after the ones I had my name down for went over £1500. Anyone bidding on mo and mz hoping to sell to me for 5 figs, please save your money :D

..............

Cheers

Everything I'm watching / bidding on have gone over £3k, I picked up a few nice combinations last week for less than £2k each, not this time! Is anyone else seeing a increase in price from last week?

Scott

Compared to prices in this round, prices last week now look like a steal. Whoever grabbed their names last week had luck on their side

The prices in this round are just getting crazy

Got OY for 2.5k, someone had to bid on OM at the last minute just to shove it onto the next day.

I imagine they're jumping up and down at Nom Towers in disbelief at the money coming in, seriously unbelievable.

We've all bought things over the years because we're itching to have one, only to find a few weeks later you wish to shit you'd kept your money in your pocket? I suspect there will be quite a few who will soon feel this way, but they'll be too proud to admit it.

Days turn into months, months turn into years, etc, etc!

Our 2 are sold pending payment .. can't mention price - buyer welcome to do so after completion.

Thanks

MT.co.uk rolling over until tomorrow at £4,400.

Prices went higher than expected for some auctions today. Still focus on getting at least one domain from this lot. Should be interesting to see how it goes tomorrow.

I think it's going to be like a popular IPO writ large - those who get in early can then flip very quickly for a profit. After that, those who are willing to hold and wait may end up making more profit, but it's going to be a much longer slog.

Will probably get them thinking of other ways to monetise their position - perhaps they'll partner with namejet and create nomjet.

I agree with Edwin that it does have an IPO feel about it and that we'll probably see a few changes of ownership before the year end. Clearly some of the domains won't be for sale ever again ... hence the battle to get some of them.

qw.co.uk went for £2500 I stopped short of pushing it to £2k; at least 2 others pushed it up the next bit.

Does anybody know what the end price was for these domains please?

People just keep bidding them up. I thought I would come back this morning and manage to get one of them - look like thats a way off.

Save your money for a good descriptive generic domain mate :)

Probably going to do that as well as this :) Its kind of annoying because this is what happens:

I bid to 3700
Someone waits till like 5 minutes then bids it to 3,800
I bid to 3,900
Someone waits till like 5 minutes then bids it to 4,000

I wish it would have an auto bid system like ebay, instead of just going straight in at your max.

Yep, it's highly annoying. I'm guessing those that are in for hundreds have them sorted by ending time and keep bidding on the ones they like when they get to the top of the list.

I've given up on this batch, way too much money being thrown around!

I got NY.co.uk. Looking forward to develop a site about New York.
