roundup of this mornings opening play:
it £3,850
dr £2,400
cv £2,100
go £900
ad £880
ip £875
hr £720
hq £409

if you had the funds, which of these would you be going for and upto how much??

Makes me wonder how much more the .co.uk versions of these domains will go for

wow folks seem serious today, all the auctions im watching now gone +1k

i didnt waste my application fee on any .co.uk as expected the prices to be way too high with big speculators sniffing around them

Rather pay £5000 for a .co.uk, than £1000 for a .org.uk..

I don't have a problem paying £1k for a .org.uk, but at that price it would have to be one that I can actually do something useful with rather than just sitting on it.

The prices for some (a lot) of these .org.uk's is IMHO over the top and I can't help feeling that some people are getting a little carried away. The majority of them would be impossible to monetise. Fair enough if people have a plan for them or want to hold them for resale, but as an "investment" I'd prefer putting money into the .co.uk's.

Having said that, I finally got one that I wanted :)

Just debating whether I can be bothered to go to £200 on a vanity .org.uk name that will never be developed......mhmmmmmmm, sitting here until 5pm again watching it, oh joy! ;)

Yes but some people might have large stash of money compared to you.

So org.uk is the only route for some

Or don't buy the domain name in the first place! There are TWO other routes, not just ".org.uk as a backup" as the only alternative...

Those are my initials, didn't bother with the org.uk, waiting for the co.uk. Hmmmm might have to rethink that idea....

What you reckon for dr.co.uk - £10-15K+?!

Actually I think dr.org.uk would create more trust personally, if developed to the obvious subject. :)
