Same here, fair play to nominet for confirming payment details via email.Paid mine on Friday, domain was registered today
Noticed a few of the domains I didn't win still haven't been registered, do we know how strict nominet are going to be about the 7 day limit?Guess they are all finished now as nominet just emailed:
-------------
Thank you for taking part in the .me.uk short domain name auction process and congratulations on your winning bid(s). We are now generating invoices to send to the winning bidders and will email these to you in the next 24 hours. Please note that you then have 7 days from the date of the invoice(s) to pay.
You can pay by credit or debit card by calling our secure payment line – 01865 332348 – quoting your invoice number(s)

Wonder if any auctions will get rerun when the buyer bottles out of payment after getting carried away in the bidding.

Off with a bang this morning
g.org.uk already on £1600![]()
Hopefully very, and that no exceptions are made to the rule. I guess people have until probably Monday to pay depending on when they were sent their invoice?
Just bidding on my one XX.org.uk. Be nice to get it for personal use.![]()
the way this is going so far can see a few continuing tmrw unless folks start increasing by more then 10 at a time...
The final tally of .co.uk, .org.uk and .me.uk is probably going to crack £xx,xxx, xxx at this rate. Would make for a fabulous press release that really drives home the value of investing in domain names once the dust has settled.
My prediction:
92% .co.uk
7% .org.uk
1% .me.uk
(ratio of the total value of the landrush auctions for each of the 3 extensions)
Would it make a fabulous press release? The fact that Nominet is only releasing the domains now where others like .de/.nl have already shared their shortnames. For me a press release would only confirm the idea I got when dealing with Nominet that they are still living in the 20th century.
I could be wrong of course
Is there an easy way to view auctions in process as a "bystander" i.e. if you're not one of the bidders? Or are they locked away?
