We are delighted to introduce Patrick Hauss 🇫🇷, Regional Director France at CSC (Corporation Service Company®), as a key speaker at Domain Summit Europe 2025! Patrick, a seasoned expert in intellectual property and brand protection, leads CSC’s French operations from Paris with remarkable acumen and dedication. Established in 1899, CSC has grown over its 125-year legacy into a titan of the domain name industry, overseeing a staggering portfolio of over 2.5 million domain names across 1,713 extensions—a figure that underscores its dominance in the field. Beyond Sparkling, Benjamin co-organises NDDcamp in Paris and Strasbourg, championing domain industry discourse, and served on the Afnic Board of Trustees from 2016 to 2022, shaping France’s digital policies.

Making his Domain Summit debut, Benjamin will offer a compelling look at the GeoTLD landscape, rooted in his leadership of .alsace since its inception in 2015. Raedene joined Tucows in 2021 following the acquisition of UNR Registry, where she excelled as Chief Operating Officer, bringing a wealth of operational finesse. With more than 20 years in the domain name industry, her career is marked by pivotal roles, including Head of Policy and ccTLD Practice Manager at CentralNic Group plc, where she influenced domain governance and strategy.

I am proud to introduce @JimDavies 🇬🇧 🇦🇺, Intellectual Property Solicitor at 360 Law Group, as a returning speaker at Domain Summit Europe 2025!

With a foot in both the UK and Australia, Jim shines at 360 Law Group, a UK-registered global virtual law firm staffed solely by Solicitors, Barristers, and Overseas Attorneys with over 5 years’ qualification - many having held Partner roles at top-tier global firms or served as General Counsel. Their low-overhead model ensures some of the profession’s most competitive rates, all while delivering uncompromised excellence.

jim-davies-speaker.jpg

Jim’s path began at Cambridge, studying science and law, followed by training at a Lincoln’s Inn firm where he focused on intellectual property. Early on, he made waves representing the French wine industry, securing “champagne” in a Court of Appeal triumph that redefined passing off law. He then stepped away from practice to run UK government-funded legal training in Romania and an IT security business in London, before returning with a razor-sharp focus on internet law, domain disputes, trademarks, and commercial advice. After 15 years in Perth with firms like Wrays IP and Elevation Legal, he’s back in London, a titan in UK domain law.

Jim’s career sparkles with wins - defending MySpace.co.uk pre-social media boom, clinching Bounce.co.uk with a process critique that drew an apology, and thwarting ThePhoenixGroup.co.uk’s FTSE 100 challenge. In trademarks, he’s axed FURNITURELAND for non-use and outmaneuvered CASINO DINO’s bad faith claim. A former Nominet director, he helped steer .uk policy, and as OpenUK’s Company Secretary, he brings seasoned wit to governance.

Outside law, he’s refereed rugby (teammates played top-tier), ran a student entertainment venture, and cherishes live bands and comedy in cosy venues - proud father of three. His summit session will weave tales of domain duels, IP mastery, and legal strategy, a must-hear for domain buffs, registry leaders, and entrepreneurs.

We’re delighted to present Joe Alagna 🇺🇸, Chief Strategy Officer at it.com Domains 🇬🇧, as a brilliant speaker at Domain Summit Europe 2025!

Joe’s spent over two decades in the domain game, with a cracking CV - Vice President at 101domain, Channel Director at Afilias (now part of Identity Digital), and General Manager for North American Markets at CentralNic (now part of Team Internet). In 2012, he helped pen 60 successful new gTLD applications, like .xyz, .club, and .app, giving the internet a proper boost.

Now at it.com Domains, he’s supporting businesses big and small with their domain solutions.

joe-alagna-speakers.jpg
Joe’s passion kicked off in 1999, sparked while he was a National Accounts Manager at AT&T Wireless, diving into domains as a “domainer” - snapping them up as virtual property to buy, sell, and park for profit, a move that helped power Google and Yahoo’s early days (and still matters today). He also sat on the Domain Name Association’s Executive Board, shaping the industry’s course.

Joe’s watched the domain world transform - once split into registries and registrars (all about policy and ICANN), domainers (profit-driven traders), and hosting techies (server wizards who built big firms). Now, those worlds overlap - registrars turn domainer, domainers become registrars, and hosting’s often part of the package. From Afilias’ registry and DNS work (pre-acquisition) to his current gig, Joe’s been at the heart of this shift.

Little tidbits: Snoopy’s his mascot, and he loves digging through used bookstores for treasures! His summit talk will unpack the domain industry’s growth, gTLD impact, and future trends - a treat for domain buffs, investors, and tech fans.

I am proud to bits for the Domain Summit Europ 2025 to have Richard Lau 🇨🇦, a serial entrepreneur, domain pioneer, and core investor in Titan Research 🇬🇧, return to us this year! From Canada, this chap’s a proper icon with a tale that’s as rich as a full English breakfast and twice as compelling.

It all began in the mid-’90s when Richard was mired in Canada’s paging scene. A mate scarpered to launch an internet dial-up gig, and pals nabbed IceCream.com, piquing his interest. In 1996, he and a friend snapped up auto-dealer domains, only for Microsoft to ring with a $9,500 offer - scuppered by a trademark hitch, but it lit a fire that’d soon blaze across the domain world.

By the late ’90s, he’d turned curiosity into a cracking enterprise - DomainsDirect.com undercut ISPs with a “free for mates” twist, a clever landing page crossing out $19.95 for a nought-cost search. It blossomed into YourNameFree.com and NamesDirect, climbing to a top-30 registrar. By 2001, he’d merged with NameZero and nabbed MyDomain.com, a free DNS titan hosting 500K domains, before a whirlwind of business moves and tax woes saw him regroup with renewed focus in California.

Crowned “Domainer of the Year” in 2004 at TRAFFIC, Richard’s minted millions since. He cooked up NamesCon in 2012 on Rick Schwartz’s forum - a virtual lounge where he practically lived, soaking up tips like a sponge. Launched in 2014, it became the domain world’s crown jewel - think back-to-back meetings, breakfast trades (he once swapped domains over bacon!), and WaterSchool fundraisers - before selling to WorldHostingDays in 2017. Now owned by Opus Origin, a major UK media and events investor, it’s thriving in new hands. Resume.com went to Indeed, helping job seekers aplenty, and Logo.com - his latest triumph - boasts 10M+ logos via a bespoke generator, ditching clunky third-party kit for a streamlined win.

Enter Titan Research, a UK domain name data outfit led by COO Cosmin Elefterescu. Their Domain Name Intelligence API dishes out real-time domain intel for businesses and organisations - ownership, risks, the full monty. The Domain Name Management Service is a smashing all-in-one for taming big portfolios, from renewals to analytics. They’ve sunk hefty sums into tailored software, honed over years to manage and boost their own portfolio and clients’, giving a proper edge in efficiency and growth.

Richard’s domain exploits are the stuff of legend - he’s wrestled RL.com back (a legal slog costing more than its worth), saved God.com and Iraq.com, and rues letting Weed.com slip cheap in 2008 at auction, a regret shared by every domainer in that room. His portfolio’s thousands deep - two-word .coms for steady cash, plus gems like Logo.com - his darling for its category-defining fit - and Face.com, now at $10M after he swatted a $1M bid, eyeing its future in tech or a personal startup.

In 2002, after a dizzying run of ventures and tax hits, he rebooted with $5K in credit, flipping domains like a seasoned punter - mining GoTo.com for keywords, tracking owners with skip-tracing nous (cheers to a detective book), and charming deals with cheeky calls - “Richard from Canada here!” He’s since shaped crypto ventures, kept Domain Manager free for domainers, and built a legacy of tenacity and innovation that’s pure Lau.

Titan Research pulls it all together - Elefterescu’s product savvy (ex-Deepcrawl, Palantir) pairs with Richard’s domain mastery to push digital identity solutions. They’re not just managing domains; they’re crafting how brands secure their online patch in a wild digital frontier, from APIs sniffing out threats to dashboards taming portfolio chaos - a brilliant blend of 25+ years’ hustle and forward-thinking tech.

Richard’s heart is as big as his ambition - he’s raised over $500K for WaterSchool via WaterNight, leading as Executive Director to bring clean water to Uganda and Kenya since 2007. He’s a Women in Domaining cheerleader, an ICA champ, and a networker who once sorted a deal over barbecue at his gaff. A fan of Chinese grub, 60s pop, Orwell’s 1984, and the gentle click of snooker balls, he fancies a go at astronomy or tickling the ivories if domains ever fade.

Expect a talk that’s an absolute belter - Richard will unpack 25+ years of domain evolution (from $75 flips to $10M asks), branding brilliance (Logo.com’s 10-minute magic), and digital identity’s future with Titan Research. He’ll spill on RL.com’s legal wrangle, NamesCon’s breakfast-deal glory and its Opus Origin era, and why he’d build on Face.com over cashing out. A must for domain buffs, brand experts, and innovators - pure gold from a pioneer!

We’re honoured to unveil Philippe Boos 🇫🇷, CEO of Domgate, as a stellar speaker for Domain Summit Europe 2025! With over 15 years as a European Trademark Attorney, Philippe founded Domgate in 2014 to conquer the intricate realm of country code top-level domains (ccTLDs), delivering a cracking solution for trademark holders and resellers.

Starting in Paris at a top-tier intellectual property firm, Philippe sharpened his skills before serving as Trademark Counsel at the European Trademark Office (EUIPO) from June 2006 to October 2013 - the body managing EU trademarks and Community designs. Seeing ccTLDs as an underserved niche needing trademark-level expertise, he launched Domgate in Grasse, France, building a plugged-in platform for 1,200+ ccTLDs across 250 countries, complete with trustee services, anonymization, and an API for seamless reseller automation.

Domgate’s all about giving brands the upper hand and safeguarding companies’ online presence. Their corporate domain name services - domain watching, pre-contentious actions, and UDRP/URS procedures - are bolstered by the 9yard brand protection suite: Domain Monitoring to catch infringers, Website Takedown for rogue sites, TM Watching & Registrations to lock in trademarks, ccTLDs Domain Registration Strategy for global expansion, and more. Philippe’s IT and IP boffins ensure a comprehensive defence, with a knowledge base and client-ready docs at the ready.

What makes Domgate brill? It’s dedicated to ccTLDs and resellers, no faffing with gTLDs. Philippe’s assembled a team of sharp account managers and legal eagles, merging tech and trademark nous to let resellers shine while saving time. From .bh (Bahrain) to .ae (UAE), they offer SEO perks, local cred, and brand tailoring for firms going global - a proper lifeline for the industry.

Philippe’s a familiar face at industry dos - APTLD85 saw him dissect registration strategies, while CloudFest and INTA 2024 kept him in the loop. He’s posted on LinkedIn about AI domain risks and ICANN’s RDRS rollout, and Domgate’s €15 .it.com deal proves he blends quality with affordability. His talk will be a belter - ccTLD tips, 9yard protection, and brand security insights galore!

kalin-seo-domains-speaker.jpg

We’re absolutely chuffed to welcome back Kalin Karakehayov 🇧🇬, CEO and Founder of seo.domains, to Domain Summit Europe 2025! From Bulgaria, Kalin is a chess International Master turned SEO and domain industry legend, whose strategic brilliance has redefined how businesses harness expired domains for digital success.

Kalin’s story starts in the early 2000s as a semi-pro chess player, where his analytical mind secured him a global ranking. By 2008, he’d shifted to SEO, managing audits and rankings for over 200 clients while running Adsense projects. In 2011, he launched Napred.BG, a Bulgarian search engine, before founding Edoms (formerly Tool Domains) and seo.domains in 2014. From humble beginnings, Edoms has grown into a proper domain giant - an accredited registrar - while seo.domains leads as a top marketplace for aged domains.

Seo.domains, with a 120-member team, is a global leader - it commands around 60% of the world’s supply of aged domains, from low-budget PBN-suitable ones to DR90 monsters, offering the best choice of power, niche, and geos. They’ve got over 100,000 domains in stock, have sold 29,000+ to customers in over 100 countries, and now offer link-building opportunities from over 4,000 websites built for this purpose using authority SEO domains. Fun fact: in February 2024, Kalin’s two companies, seo.domains and Edoms, owned close to 0.1% of all the world’s domain names - a cracking achievement!

Kalin’s mastery of domain drop-catching and evaluation - refined over eight years of successes and setbacks - has made him a global expert. Seo.domains provides high-authority expired domains for PBNs, 301 redirects, and money sites, plus website recovery services. Kalin’s knack for blending data analysis with tech and global trends ensures seo.domains delivers ranking-boosting domains, often at cracking prices like their €15 .it.com deal.

Kalin’s journey wasn’t all smooth sailing. In the early 2010s, Google slapped his PBNs with one of the first major penalties of its kind, deindexing hundreds of sites in a flash. He fought back with a clever PR move - promoting social causes on penalized sites to highlight Google’s flaws, gaining 10,000+ views in Bulgaria. His team’s ad-filtering campaign targeted Google’s Adwords profits, a bold move that flipped the script for his small Bulgarian team, many supporting families in rural areas on tight budgets.

Kalin’s entrepreneurial flair extends further. He co-founded MeUp.com, a link/guest post/PR marketplace, and in 2021 started I Grow Younger (i.gy), a non-profit redefining self-improvement concepts into an intuitive system. He’s a regular on the global stage, speaking at Estonia’s first SEO conference in 2023 on “The Economics of SEO” and the SEO Mastery Summit 2024 in Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam. His talks at SERP Conf. and Chiang Mai SEO Conference have solidified his status as a domain and SEO trailblazer.

Expect a cracking session - Kalin will unpack expired domain strategies, from drop-catching to valuation, and how to safely use them for PBNs, redirects, or link-building. He’ll share his hard-won tactics for outsmarting search algorithms, the economics of SEO in 2025, and how seo.domains’ vast inventory can elevate your projects. A must for investors, marketers, and tech enthusiasts aiming to rule the digital space!

chris-chaplow-speaker.jpg

We are delighted to present Chris Chaplow 🇪🇸, Founder and Managing Director of Andalucia.com, as a first-time speaker at Domain Summit Europe 2025!

With over three decades of work in the domain industry, Chris has nurtured Andalucia.com into a global standard for geographical domains, focusing on sharing useful information rather than pursuing profit - a philosophy established well before Google emerged.

Chris’s story begins with an honours degree in Civil Engineering from King’s College London, followed by managing significant projects such as the Twickenham South Grandstand. In 1991, he relocated to Spain, and by 1993, he launched Spain’s first online image bank, a digitised database of Andalucian images for global media. This paved the way for Andalucia.com, founded in 1996 with co-founder Chris Mason in Kingston upon Thames, London. It was the first site to offer travel information on Andalucia, growing into the third most popular travel destination site worldwide, with 450,000 monthly visitors, 10,000 English pages, and 3,500 Spanish pages. In 2008, it received the inaugural Costa del Sol Business of the Year award from the Junta de Andalucia.

Andalucia.com is more than a domain - it’s a living, breathing part of the digital landscape, brimming with history, personality, and potential. Chris, who avoids the “domain investor” label, holds a portfolio focused on Andalucia and city geographical domains, viewing the best domains as legacies, not transactions. He also founded Andalucia Web Solutions, assisting clients in building domain portfolios, protecting intellectual property, and staying informed of ICANN policies like new gTLD developments and cybersquatting risks.

A committed member of the ICANN Business Constituency (BC) since 2009, Chris has attended around 17 ICANN meetings, most recently in Frankfurt, and served as BC Vice Chair for Finance and Operations from 2010 to 2014. He’s played a pivotal role, chairing the Commercial Stakeholders Working Group on ICANN Budget and Operating Plan, and contributing to groups like the Inter-Registrar Transfer Policy Working Group and the Study Group on Use of Names for Countries and Territories. He’s also a former member of the British Chamber of Commerce in Spain, serving on its Governing Council from 2008 to 2012.

Chris’s session will examine his 30-year journey with Andalucia.com, sharing valuable lessons on building a domain that endures. He’ll explore why true domain stewardship is rooted in the right vision - prioritising legacy over profit - and how this approach has made Andalucia.com a trusted resource for millions. A must for domain enthusiasts, investors, and digital strategists aiming to leave a lasting mark!

We are delighted to present @Monte (Monte Cahn) 🇺🇸, Founder and Managing Director of RightOfTheDot, LLC, Dot Hip Hop, LLC, and Internet Equity Limitada, as a first-time speaker at Domain Summit Europe 2025! A true pioneer in the domain industry, Monte has been shaping the digital landscape since 1994, with over $590M in domain and digital asset sales, earning him a 2010 Domain Hall of Fame induction by his peers.

Monte grew up in Cincinnati, Ohio, where his parents ran a successful furniture business. Inspired by his grandmother in San Diego, who sent him articles about the biotech boom, Monte decided at age 13 to pursue a medical career. He studied at the University of Kentucky, where, during his junior year, he interned at a medical equipment company and became their top salesman - prompting them to open a branch in Lexington. Funding his education with his earnings, he graduated in 1987 with degrees in Marketing and Biology. That year, he relocated to South Florida for its medical market and finer weather, establishing a business marketing cardiology equipment.

Monte’s early career flourished when he joined Eli Lilly’s struggling IVAC Corp. in Miami in 1989, elevating the unit from #111 to #4 in two years. He then co-founded Pyxis Corporation in San Diego, developing automated medication systems now used globally in hospitals, taking the company public, and selling it to Cardinal Health. After dabbling in online medical records startups, Monte entered the domain industry in 1996, founding NameShop.com - the first domain brokerage - and brokering landmark sales like WallStreet.com for $1.03M and Autos.com for $2.1M in 1999, igniting the dot-com buying frenzy. He later founded Moniker.com and served as President of SnapNames.com, introducing WHOIS privacy, domain escrow, and live auctions, with sales like Slots.com for $5.5M.

Today, Monte leads RightOfTheDot, LLC, a licensed business and premium domain auction and brokerage firm, offering expert consultancy on TLD strategy, contention resolution, board advisement, and market positioning. He also heads Dot Hip Hop, LLC, the ICANN-accredited registry for .HipHop domain names, empowering the global hip-hop community with digital branding solutions, and Internet Equity Limitada, focusing on domain and web traffic monetization. His ventures have supported numerous TLD launches through strategic promotions and auctions.

Beyond his domain enterprises, Monte is an active investor in diverse projects, including Diamante Eco Adventure Park in Costa Rica, HaciendaDiamante.com - a luxury villa rental in Costa Rica - Desktop.com, CrashNBurn/Aero Vegas, S3 Restaurant on Ft. Lauderdale Beach, FL, Bidtellect.com, an online native advertising firm, WeedClub.com, and the Marriott Courtyard in Jupiter, FL. He’s spoken at over 150 industry events, including NamesCon, DomainFest, and PubCon, sharing expertise on domains, branding, and intellectual property.

Monte’s session, “.HipHop: Taking Over and Tuning Up a TLD,” will take place on September 3, 2025, from 3:30 PM to 3:50 PM on Stage 1 (Executive Stage). In this 20-minute talk, Monte will take us behind the scenes of how his team revived and rebranded the .HipHop TLD, breathing new life into a niche extension with significant cultural potential. He’ll explore the challenges, strategy, and creative vision behind connecting the .HipHop domain with the global hip-hop community, offering valuable insights for domain investors and tech enthusiasts.
