Usually by this time in the season, one or two clubs are already relegated, but it's still all to play for in the Premiership drop zone.

With two games to go, six clubs could still be relegated.

Pl GD Pts
15 Blackburn 36 -14 39
16 Birmingham 36 -18 39
17 Wolves 36 -21 37
18 Blackpool 36 -22 36
19 Wigan 36 -23 36
20 West Ham 36 -23 33

I'd love to see Blackpool stay up.

Still to play:

Wigan v West Ham
Wolves v Blackburn

Blackburn also have Man Utd next week so could go into the last game against Wolves facing the drop if they lose.

I've got the following on the BBC predictor:

Blackpool 39
Wolves 37
Wigan 37
West Ham 36

So I think that the three W's will go down this season. I'm not particularly interested in football but I can't help feel sorry for the police at the West Ham / Millwall games next season.

Given the fixtures I think Wolves will escape.

West Ham, Wigan and Blackpool to drop.

I said the 3 W's at the start, no reason for changing my mind now!

Would love Blackpool to stay in PL, their attitude is brilliant, although you worry about 'Second Season Syndrome' if they do survive.

Bring on Barcelona!

I guess you could say Blackpool are doing a 'Hull City' couldn't you. If they do stay up, Blackpool are going to need some serious investment should they sell Charlie Adam in the summer.

I' a West Ham fan and unfortunately we will be going down.

It's happened before.

The world didn't stop turning.

But we'll be back....... eventually.

For the last 10 matches I've seen of blackpool (highlights), Charlie Adam has hardly played well, He's overrated in my opinion.

Going on what I saw yesterday, Wolves look like they have the most desire to stay up.

Using the predictor I get:
Wigan 39
Birmingham 39
-----
Blackpool 39
Wolves 38
Westham 33

I hope Blackpool stay up though.

Survival Sunday is upon us.

I truly hope Blackpool get a result at Old Trafford.

With United having one eye on the Barca game, they may field a weakened team (if such a thing exists when you see the depth of their squad), but Fergie insists that United will be going all out to win because to do otherwise wouldn't be fair to the other teams threatened by relegation.

Strange really when you consider that last weekend, Man United gifted Blackburn a point (and one that might save them) by playing out the last 10-15 minutes of a 1-1 draw by passing the ball about in defence (with Rovers happy to let them do so).

Even though I have Berbatov in my fantasy football team, I really hope Blackpool stay up :-D. They've been involved in so many great games this season and have been depserately unlucky on numerous occasions, losing out to last minute goals.

i hardly watch or follow footie these days but would be nice for blackpool to stay up as their first season, every club needs a couple seasons to settle

anyway, just checked skysports and they went down 1-0 early at manu
well 60 mins in theyre 2-1 up! blackpool are!

keep it up guys, be great if they beat manu and stay up. theyll be legends

edit@ what is it with these last games of season? manu just equalised on 62 mins!

All change in the space of a minute with Wigan going 0-1 up at Stoke and Birmingham equalising at Tottenham, which now puts Blackpool and Wolves in to the relegation spots.

Blackpool were doing well until they scored an own goal, ouch, then Owen scored a 4th for united, still a few minutes left but, at least West Sham are already down, which is nice

Wolves have pulled a goal back against Blackburn, which now puts them level on points and goal difference with Birmingham, but they're above Birmingham as they've won more matches then them during the season, so due to that Birmingham hit the relegation spot, proper swings and roundabouts on the last day of the season.

[edit]

Birmingham let a 90th minute goal in to seal relegation for themselves, along with Blackpool and West Sham, they think it's all over, it is now, FT everywhere.
