This increase may only be 2 cents per domain, but it’s still an 11% jump, which is very significant. Especially with large cash flows.

For domain owners with a few domains, the impact will be minor. .. of course, if this doesn't have a ripple effect (shouldn't, though we will all see).

From ICANN's perspective, an 11% boost in revenue from millions of domains will bring in much much more money, enriching their budget and influence in the domain space. So, while it may seem small to individuals, it’s a major income boost for ICANN.
