Credit to Nominet, at least they got it running. Same cannot be said for the call in alerts which was more fun; especially with the lady from Nominet saying "please can everyone mute their microphones, you shouldn't be able to talk to each other".

I paid twice for it essentially, I put it on backorder at crazy, but their system done absolutely nothing. So I then went to reg it at about five past 2 and to my surprise it went through.

My registration script cycle normally completes in 10ms. At 14:00 it took 7 full seconds. Pretty busy there. I suspect sending a second or 2 before release time may help. Who knows - luck of the draw.
