I would presume it's instant

I just use the Nominet WHOIS on the public Nominet website, and normally of course my registration would show up within minutes. Should I expect to see the first hour's registrations as quickly as that, or by say 3.15pm? (Or sooner, as they drop?)

Live whois updates, Nominet have made no mention of this being turned off for a period of time, and they are effectively using the live database.

I imagine the auction sites and this forum are about be loaded with lot's of .uk sales. Will be interesting to see what comes up and the sort of prices they will fetch. Although a lot of people might do wise to hold onto anything premium until a decent market is established for the .uk extension, if that even happens.
