MR Rob

Mr Rob you may be forgiven for your immaturity. when i sold sexy.com for £450k i had many nay-sayers...ooh itll never work.but it did now i hang around telly savalas in my gold car picking up hookers on the sunset strip. so there.

im guessing if i had rob.co.uk i wouldnt want rob.tel. but as this gets more accepted into mobile apps as the universal com (not web) com suffix, generic names will be wanted. just as people type sex into a search bar in massive ignorant volumes, so much so that sex. com has a $14m value on its head, .tel will become the phone app default suffix and therefor will head that way. people are thick, phones are getting better, this is coming, and you cant stop it. im rolling with kojak now. suck my lollipop.
peace.

and no need to redirect Rob.tel to Rob.co.uk, if anything would be the other way round.

rob.tel would be limited to what I could do with it, however with the .co.uk (and any other open extension) I can quite easily have a contact page :)

websites look different on every machine. .tel works. if they want your cruddy website, they can click the link.

Great sale, what year was that?

I thought .mobi was meant to be the default mobile extension?

Have you seen a tel in action - try largeco , it is nothing like the normal domains. I think you are a little confused as how could I get sport or news headlines on a .tel? :)

Phones are getting better, which is why mobi / tel etc is out moded before it launches. Perhaps if it was 1998 then these things would fly...

Why would I go to another website to go to the one I want to know?

ive just registered rob.tel.

Really? Landrush is not until Feb 3rd, and to be honest if stuff like Rob.tel is not taken in the sunrise by domainers with TM's etc then its bad news from the start.

Or have you spunked more cash up the wall on preorders... :)

.tel will become the phone app equiv default suffix

Now this is where my previous point is perfectly showcased....

.mobi was designed to be the default suffix for all mobiles and 'mobile access terminals'. That was the whole point of calling it .mobi...

Now I have heard on the grapevine that there will be an application for .phone, .mobile and .mob if ICANN let loose the never-ending suffixes game....

So my point is they can't all be default.

In fact the one that will be default is the one that will be the cheapest to buy, secures the most TM's for existing businesses and has the largest marketing budget to get the public using them...

You can never win.... let's all stick to easy domains that everyone already know's about or maybe there needs to be new rules about owning but 'not developing' or 'using' as a way of freeing up some of the ones regged but never used (now there's a can of worms...).

also

do you think .tel will ever be home to a website, i know its all dont on the DNS but do you think they will ever change the format to allow content / images etc....

This is similar to trademarks, if you don't use them you loose them ;)

Waz your cracking me up lol

LMAO (this thread is so fun I had to crack out an old acronym)

If not for the double posting and mindless ive got a bigger cock than you posts. This would have been a very boring over looked thread.

Thanks guys

Surely minder.tel should be reserved and subsequently point to minder.org?
