I do hope you are joking. There are only 6/10 sites using the term 'cheap treadmills' in the title on the first page, you're even using an exact match domain. It would be hard not to rank for that phrase.

That is just one of the keywords that I am going for, more will be revealed as they rank higher.

Nice client portfolio Mr Paul

I like the wording best, just above all the images. 'or increased brand awareness'.

Can adding an aff link to a site be described as raising brand awareness?

i'm not sure what all of this service bashing is about considering you havn't even tried my services.

Thanks Matt, but as any SEO genius worth their weight will tell you - doing SEO for others makes no sense, which is the exact reason I gave up working for clients in late 2009, and I can honestly say it was the best decision of my life.

Hi Domain Seller,

Just curios but did that move turn out to be more profitable & rewarding than working as an seo consultant?

I have noticed on sites such as flippa that seo guys are spending a day or two on sites then selling them for a similar amount to what I would be charging for the work with relative ease.

Cheers

Yep can imagine that, have done all my own SEO on my websites so far without originally knowing anything at all and would definitely rather spend time on my own projects rather than for others.

Would love to keep learning more though... bit of of a long shot, but know of any good private forums or other places where people share tips/knowledge etc? :)

Yes much more profitable - I am growing my own websites instead of other peoples. I did take a big dip in income in the early days, but was well worth it. Doing SEO work for other people is a good way to build up money to put into your own projects later down the line though.

Tbh Matt there aren't any 'real' private forums where people share knowledge/tips, apart from the usual examples such as wmw - Seo isn't rocket science though tbh - it is just applying it in the correct way.

How long were you doing SEO for clients before packing it in in 2009?

PM sent Ian :)

Oh man.... this has been the best thead in the history of ever.....

FACT

Question:

Whats the difference between a real seo genius and a subscription to seomoz???

Answers on a post card.

Seomoz really do know their stuff and if you have the time to read into their work (paid) you can learn alot as a beginner. Although they do rent out their own seo consultants to companies - for $1000 an hour :O

You have allot have a large amount of time to gain a good understanding of search engine optimisation and how search engines work, so thats why a good consultant is worth his / her weight in gold.

Lol. Thats their advertising pitch to make their membership prices seem cheap...

There are other people I'd rather spend $1,000 an hour on :p

Actually, I've just spent £500 with one lady for 45 seconds. That will become clear next week ;)

I bet some companies happily pay that with them :)

WW.

Would you say there is $1000 an hour value in this? :

I would suggest there is a negative value in it... its complete bullshit and if you are a client listening to that, its harmful. You could get better seo advice on digitalpoint for free...
