Lol, I may have to nudge that one down the rankings a bit
WW.
The companies that aim for page one for such generic terms have little clue about keyword research.
Search terms that could have higher conversion rates (more value) such as "hire a seo consultant" or "seo packages" would be much more rewarding compared to the amount of work that would have to be put in to achieve it
Ok, thanks for explaining.
Out of interest, why didn't you think it was worth getting your BeerHat.co.uk onto the first few pages of G UK for [beer hat] ?
I've not checked [hire a beer hat] or [beer hat packaging] though....

WigWam, the website's all very personalised and centred on you being an individual 'seo consultant' (rather than an 'seo company'). For that to work, I think you need to be more specific about who you are and not keeping things ambiguous and a bit too generic.
At the very minimum I would expect to see the name of the 'seo consultant' on the website, as at the minute it's a very odd combination of an individual's website wrote as if it is a company.
thanks for the tip wb, I am still working on the about me page
WW.
I'll have the deal of the month for a quid.
(Assuming nobody else has taken it, says there are two comments but they aren't showing)
You are charging £55 per hour for on-site seo and £37 per hour for off-site seo
1. Why the price difference ?
I am very curious about something (and these are genuine questions)

2. Why don't you offer real one way link building solutions from real websites ?
thanks
My guess is to cover the cost of the travel time & fuel costs needed to get "on-site"
1. Offsite seo is slightly easier to a degree & it needs to stay competitive, but it is vital to get a good foundation in place (onsite seo) before hand.
2. Are you on about link sales? if not press releases distributed to relevant websites / news agencies should take care of that
Cheers

Also 2 other questions
1. "I have been in the seo industry for just over five years now and am regarded as one of the leading seo consultants in the UK" - who regards you as one of the leading seo consultants in the UK ?
2. Have you got any examples of your work ? ie front page rankings in competitive industries ?
Thanks
Having explored some backlink profiles of websites in competitive niches recently, there are some very clever links which can be obtained to gain an advantage over others (none of which are mentioned on your website).
1. I am very respected within the corporate seo community (I havn't made a 'name' for myself in the freelance market yet).
2. I am developing two sites at the moment for demonstration purposes (one being the cheap treadmills site). Unfortunately NDA's prevent me from mentioning some of the sites I used to work on (very common within the seo industry - in fact I do them as standard).
Cheers

1. Oh right, I didn't realise there was an actual corporate SEO community and this was different to the freelance one.
2. I totally understand NDA's as when I was doing corporate SEO for big clients link it was important. However this only referred to the actual keywords and specifics - maybe you could just name some corporate clients you worked with to give people confidence to use your services ?
