WOW ! A genuine offer of help and you throw it back in his face !
Why get mad?
Because I didnt ask for you to tell me that you think that no one iwill do it,im not asking for free im offering rev in exchange, if they are good then they should start making money, because they will get more traffic for the site, i wasnt asking for you thoughts just weather someone would be interested.
The problem from an SEO's point of view is firstly that you are offering a six months rev share - when it's at the twelve month point that SEO efforts start paying off.
So when the hard work is done they will earn nothing because the site is not ranking and when the rev share deal expires is when the site will be expected to start performing better in search.
That's why your deal doesn't stack up for them.
you should be at least on the second page of G for some core keywords within three months at the absolute most.
Absolutely. I agree. But it's the top three positions that make the money.
- Add new content regularly and try to add content that people want to link to
- Make sure you are targeting the right keywords and phrases, it's better to get 300 visitors a day from less competitive keywords, than 20 visitors a day from the most popular keywords
- Make sure your titles, meta tags, alt tags, anchor text, headings, text and navigation are all optimised. There's plenty of info on the net about that.
- Get some links from the good free directories, they may not pass much Pagerank these days but there is still some value
- Make sure you have a blog and write regular posts, mention other industry websites and blogs and they may link back
- Use twitter to meet other people in your industry, it's amazing how many links you can get from just making friends with people
- Ask other bloggers to write a post about your website or services
Long tail is worth big bucks
I agree to some extent, however there are good reasons why an SEO would rev share with another company:Why wouldn't they just SEO their own site and keep 100% of the profit? In the real world, decent SEO is worth a boatload of cash...
