Has anyone ever had a straight catch on pool.com or snap names?

i.e. they catch it, you pay or do they ALWAYS go into auction format

I know they are supposed to go into auction if more than one person is interested but I'm curious if anyone has ever gone for a domain that only they wanted, surely not every domain has more than buyer.

for .uk domains with snapnames it only goes to auction if more than one person had booked it, otherwise they just charge you for it. No idea how it works with .coms

Have you has some where you have just been charged ?

The site leads me to believe it only ever goes to auction if there are more than one interested party, but I have never heard of anyone get a straight catch and pay. They have all gone to auction with everyone I know, even my own.

Had a few straight catches 5 ish out of 8 yes. I think they are pretty straight up!

I've had loads of catches via snapnames, only two have ever gone to auction, the rest have just been charged for straight away. Having said that I haven't used them for a few months so things may have changed.

Snapnames resell BB-Onlines services, if you don't trust snapnames you can book direct with bbonline at Domain Recover - it's more expensive but will totally avoid auctions/snapnames and block the domain from being booked by anyone at snapnames.

Got a straight catch at Pool, today, probably means the names is no good!!!

I have had a couple of straight catches with pool (not .uk)

Yep, have had quite a few from snapnames and pool, a few have gone to auction, even so; I've managed to secure them by just bidding $1 extra initially over the min price. Also using Namejet.com as well.

Its a tucows reg name, so pretty sure its snapnames and pointless doing namejet.
