Should they really have to release a picture of someone with their brains blown out just to dampen down conspiracy theories? Its pathetic... Even if they did release one you lot would declare it as a fake.

One of the first things I heard on the morning it had happened, was that BL had been shot twice in the head - red flag number 1 - any photos released (and they will be, you can be sure of that; just a matter of timing - then they can say 'told you so' even though they will not show proof of it being BL) can show a corpse less the distinguishing features of BL.

We are told BL was head of Al Qaeda (even though we know that AQ was invented by the CIA)

We know that the US has had much to gain from invading Afghanistan and Iraq.
We know that the US has released videos they claim to have been of BL which have been proven to be fakes - (why would they do that do you think?)

Why is it that so many people believe what they are told instead of what they know? The media we are fed brainwashes the masses. There is a system they use of disinformation, suggestion and repetition that works on most people, most of the time, which serves to take attention away from actual facts of a situation.

If you break everything down into what you know for sure and seperate it from everything else, many people will be able to see a different picture.

Your second last paragraph hits on a point I forgot to mention in my last post. I wonder what the real news is that is going on right now or about to break as we are fed what could well prove to be another US diversionary tactic; which is the standard US m.o. I would be very surprised if announcing the death of a symbolic figure is all there is to it and nothing more -- time will tell.

How could they, given that BL has been dead for years? Any attempt to put a lid on it was going to be full of holes. Given the arrogance of the US, they had to be seen as getting their target, and any way they did that was going to be controversial from a believability point of view seeing as it was based on lies and not actual events.

Not trying to be clever - trying to make people realise they're putting their faith in something that has no substance behind it.

Humans on the whole, are good creatures. The ones who aren't though, are the ones who like power over others. As we know from history, they will go to great lengths and are willing to commit horrific acts to attain and keep that power.
As for being clever enough, it's not as hard as you may think. The most important elements are;
1. a group of people who believe that they are acting for some greater good (we know you can find people like that - suicide bombers; the ones who built the gas chambers at Auschwitz, etc);
2. control of the media.

Now, you don't need to list anything, but surely, if the basis for your belief cannot be verified, you must question why you believe what you do.

Anyone who believes everything that the media comes out with is naive.

The media can only go by what they think they know, or what they have been told. I'm not saying everything in life is a conspiracy theory, but the only fact which is true is that 'facts' displayed by the media will often not be correct.

However, it's not exactly realistic for everyone to know everything there is to know and for that reason there will always be discrepancies.
