I think I am also going to have a million account numbers aswell.

I did notice on the Online Service Registration that when registering using just one domain name account and security code it says....

Please note that once you have activated this account you can then merge any other domain names, you may have, into this account.

You can only merge if the registrant name and TAG are the same across all the domains :)

As I thought I have about a million accounts. Im with the same registrar so merging shouldnt be a problem.

I read in the Nominet FAQs that there should be a merge accounts option/button when logged in.

Its not there.... Is this a future feature?

"Merge Accounts" is located under "Account" tab, when logged in.

Across the top:

Account Summary - Organisation Details - Manage Contacts - Manage Addresses - Manage Mailing Lists - Merge Accounts

This is madness, I have none of that.

Across the top:

Account - Your Domains - Your Details - Secure messaging

Nothing is ever easy is it.

That's the first categories, the sub-categories appear under that (grey strip).

Yep and all I get under Account is "Account Summary"

Right where do I start....

the merging function is only showing in some accounts,

Some domains state "Associated user does not have Admin privileges"

There are seperate accounts that you cant edit of domains you no longer own.

Domains that have been caught arnt in your Nominet account??? (I was worried about this)

double check after merging as errors can occur, i get renewals for another user and someone else was getting my renewal notices!

I dread this. Although it will speed things up I hope Nominet have tested this system thoroughly or domainers are gunna be in a world of hurt... :(

Going by Nominets previous record with upgrades/new systems, the chances of this not going totally wrong must be somewhere around zero. I think I'll leave it 6 months to stabalise before attempting to use it ;)

At least with this system there won't be the 'I posted the forms last week' excuse :p . Of course it will be replaced with the " I did press the button last week"

I've just merged nearly all my domains together apart from ones on godaddy and it was pretty painless.

Are you still having problems? If so - let me know. Nominet were very helpful for me...

I spoke to Louise at Nominet, most of it is sorted except a few domain names that currently arnt showing on the system but hope to have that sorted soon!

If it helps anyone, a couple I caught for Mat had issues and Nominet were suggesting it was an issue with the Automaton RELEASE activity (hopefully these are sorted for you now?)

Not yet,

Nominet told me the email address asociated with the domain account was different but ive had a query done directly at Nominet and its showing all the domain details are fine :???:

So ive contacted them again to see what they say this time.

Should be sorted soon I hope

Any explanation as to the issue? They assured me that nothing at my end could have caused it, so I guess it was an error in their system, but I guess if it happened on these, then it could happen for others.
