I've had a couple more offers on other domains marketed, but I'm a bit hesitant to say them - simply for the fact that there's going to be this question of 'you could have got more..' 'you should have got more'....
Truth is maybe, but I'm a numbers guy. It's all about % returns and bird in the hand. If I'm making 400% within 12 months (or less) to me it's a no brainer. The thought of waiting around to potentially make 4,000% is madness (to me)...simply because the opportunity cost of waiting is too great. Too many deals slip by, and too many flips can happen in the interim.
But I'm a trader by profession - so that's the filter I look at this commodity with. Buy low, sell high....Rinse & repeat.....
What I'm enjoying about this service is that there's research happening. That not only does an email from them break the ice for when I do have to follow up - it at least plants the suggestion. I've started to think of outbound emails like radio ads. Some people just need to be told about it a few times before they're like - 'ah gotcha. Gotta buy'.
Now I'm not a full time domainer. Just a bit on the side. It's another income stream. It's another field i want to try and be great at. But I have zero emotional attachment to any of my domains - and I don't depend on the income, which I feel, gives me greater clarity when I have to make decisions.
I'm fully aware that there's a ton of super smart domainers in this forum. Some of whom live and die by their talent in this field. And I know when I was posting the initial forum that at some point someone would think the prices are too cheap. But it's profit!!! That's my point.
I'm not one to talk about degrees of profit, because the argument of degrees of greed would then come in.
Degrees of profit is a good problem to have - but to me profit is all I'm looking for.
Given I've had 3 end user sales this week, 2 potential more in the pipeline, 3 deals done on DL, a few bulk deals to fellow domainers - this could be a 2k week (profit) for me....So, I decided to book some flights to Marbella, book a flat for a week, so my little boy doesn't have to run around a hotel room and rent a car. That's pretty much used up all my profit but that's ok.
I guess what I'm trying to say is, sitting here now, holding my flight tickets to Spain for next month, looking at a picture of the Air BnB that I've booked, looking at the June Weather report for the region - it's going to be pretty hard to convince me that what I'm doing isn't working.....Works just fine for me. Buy low, sell high, rinse, repeat - free holiday
