Hey Texi,

Drop me a PM or an email and we can make the 'enquire about this domain' link go to your own sales page. Even your own page for that specific domain. See www.boxedset.co.uk

As far as new reg names are concerned. I have a portfolio of 25 domains which are entirely new reg. I had chelseasupporter.com (ahem) at Sedo which has got as many views at ND in the last month as it did in a year at Sedo. The name was a present from a customer, by the way (not trying to influence anyone, but bungs are accepted...)
I have also new-regged names such as moneytoindia.co.uk which is getting some good type-ins, however regged some crackers like godoku.co.uk which is getting nothing.
Purely objectively speaking, I do appear to get more views on new regs than when I had them with Sedo, but that doesn't necessarily mean they're converting massively well.
Apart from my German Sudoku mis-type. Love it. $12 a month. Ecstatic.

How can that be? A type-in is a type-in wherever it ends up, isn't it?

well thats the issue = if you register a domain and get a page are you going to get added to the search engines? - at the momement from my point of view the sedo listings are getting spidered by someone and the ND ones aint.

I just dont seem to pick up trafffic from ND. 90% of my ND domains have no traffic whilst 98% of my sedo domains have at least one view

and a view on sedo must mean i'm listed somewhere as it doesn;t happen on ND where we have had an issue where the ND ip has been banned by msn
(msn must be the easiest to get listed and get links)

Ed, BoxedSet.co.uk looks fantastic with Edwins link there!

I have had a few people say to me " If you own the domain name why isnt it pointing to your website?" without going into to much detail this is the answer to prove on first glance that I actually own the domain name - That is of course without doing the who-is check. Which if you take your usual bob the builder who does not know the ins and outs of checking ownrship etc..

99% of my sales are to end users!

I would pay good money for the service to be implicated onto my parking pages!

Could be stevie - I suppose there loss!

I know of a couple of other parking companies why by you must be asked to join - basically if your domains are good enuf!

They have not asked me of course - but I am not bothered, NameDrive for me wins hands down, they arnt bothered who signs with them!

yep... ND are fine.. & I think my domains are ok...with 32k of UV's so far this month... it's not to be sniffed at...

Hi DomainBrand,

Not sure if, by saying you'd pay to have the link put up there on your page, that means you overlooked that we do it for free? :) You're very welcome to pay me for it, but it is a free service!

We're not in a position to sniff at people. We have got a lot of quality portfolios, but we feel that's because an open door policy means that you're not shooting yourself in the foot when Mr. Domains comes looking and finds the door shut.

Anyway, DB, PM or mail me and I'll get the link up. It can either go to your central page (e.g. domainbrand.co.uk) or to a specific page for that domain (e.g. domainbrand.co.uk/domain.co.uk)

Hi Ed,

Yeah I was meaning that I know its free but I would not mind paying for that! ;) Anyway can your service get any better!

Your exactly right about shuting out people with domain names it just doesnt make sense - anyway Ed hope your happy with the few I provide ;)

Keep up the excellance!

What's so wrong with that? Millions of domains point to a financial parking page. What is "andrew" supposed to point to instead, in fact of the top of my head I can't think of anything. BTW my name IS Andrew and I have no problem with it pointing to Loans.

Its not us the users that will have a problem with it.

It will be the PPC providers like Overture, Mirago or who ever else is providing the feeds.

They have strict requirements - this includes validating users.

If I was an advertiser paying £5 + for the keyword loans Id be very pissed that my paid listing was being abused by being placed on a totally irrelevant site.

I like namedrive but they should'nt allow that.

I'm confused, if I was an advertiser surley I wouldn't care where the user came from as long as they clicked my ad.

If I was paying mickey mouse rates on bobs PPC service then fine. If im paying top dollar on Google or Overture then Id be having fits.

Would you really suggest to me that if your paying £5 a click + vat that you dont mind where your traffic comes from?

This is why so many Google Adwords clients choose to opt out of having their listings displayed on secondary sites outside of Google. Even I do the conversion rate is alot lower.
