My book about Brexit is out!

https://europa.eu/rapid/press-release_IP-18-6023_en.htm

This is how perverse the EU is. Slovakia who receive 1bn Euros more than they contribute have given state aid - which is against the EU's own rules - for Land Rover to move production of the Discovery out of the UK.

This isn't about bringing other EU countries up to our standards, it's about taking us down so that we meet in the middle. The perverse part is that we're essentially paying towards our own downfall.

At this stage I think you have to be pretty self absorbed not to see with your own eyes that climate change is evidently real. Go and take a look at the Arctic. I know a photographer who went 15 years ago and has recently been back and the first time he went he took a photo of a hugeeeee glacier. When he went back you could stand on solid ground where the glacier used to be. 100 metres of ice has gone.... can you comprehend that?

EDIT: That's 100 metres thick by the way...

Just to clarify, when you say climate change, are you saying it's man-made? And if so, are you saying that the only factor that causes the climate to change, is human activity?

Good luck with the book wishing you all the best with sales.
Personally your in a minefield with this and your going to upset some people with points of view.

Good Kuck

I don't think it is far before the EU follows Spain's path in locking up those people who called for Independence of Catalonia. We wouldn't be in this mess now if the EU had locked up those Brexiteers that had lied. I'm a fan of the EU but they need to come down harder on those that want to break up our way of life. If the EU doesn't say Spain is wrong, then it is agreeing with locking people up, why isn't it doing the same in practice? The EU need to grow a pair, time is running out

I believe from reading people on Twitter that the EU already has powers to issue arrest warrants against Brexiteers and have them extradited to Brussels for trial. Whether that is true or not isn't the point, it should be true.

I'm starting to think the EU doesn't want us to stay :(

The *true* face of fascism - thy name is 'liberal progress'. Stamp out freedom of speech! Jail people who don't agree (even though *you* are actually the minority)! Deport them (even though there is nowhere to deport them to)! Only one step from replacing the word Brexiteers with Jews eh. I really hope your post was a joke or you are one sick individual with extremely childish views. (or your 6th form teacher) This is probably why people want to leave - other remainers must facepalm when they see such drivel as you do their genuine cause and concerns no good at all ;)

Just an interjection here. The last thing I expect to see on a forum of this stature are; and in no particular order:

Politics and political correctness.

Religion.

Opinions and comment about gender issues.

YMMV

Yeah, aZooZa is right. I regret writing a bucket load of posts on this thread yesterday. It's so easy to get drawn in. But really, this is such a friendly domain forum and politics nearly always divides. So I apologise for all my posts yesterday.

As the instigator, I'd like to apologise to everyone too. I never intended this to turn into another slanging match. I was just excited to share the news about what I'd been working on for most of the past year.

I let me enthusiasm run away with me. I'm sorry. Please, let's get back to domains.

I'd argue, in the non domain section of this forum people are free to discuss what they please. I've got no problem with it, I just don't join in, the same as I wouldn't join in the conversation with someone at a bus stop, or at work about it.

I agree with Aaron - I think people should be allowed to discuss what they want. But then I don't think people holding different views to me should be jailed or stifled :p However an ignore thread option would stop it continually popping up in the 'new posts' results for people not even vaguely interested. Would be useful anyway for other threads such as unrealistic sales bump threads.

Edwin you mean you don't remember the divide on this forum prior to the referendum when you championed the remain cause with a vengeance. Now you apologise after drawing everyone's attention to your new book. You are a marketing expert, on that I concede.
I have no hard feelings though, I agree that people should be allowed to have their own views so long as they are within the law. The laws though are being abused to restrict the rights I believe people should have.
