Yeah but people won't find out "insider" info on how they work and stuff will they ? They will just be told "You put a name here, we check it many times a day, when its available we try and get it for you". So I want to check with him first as a courtesy :)

Alex caught a domain to die for yesterday. I had to do a double-take when I saw it.

I assumed aZooZa was referring to the one beginning with "J".

That was caught as a bit of fun as there weren't many customer bookings! If you want it, I bunged it on domainlore to help top up the holiday fund, so free to place a bid :)

Janes dropped? I didn't think it would, had it in but script has been playing up. I find it quite absurd that the defence magazine let their guard drop in such a way.

Is there any history of someone drs'ing a name that they let drop?

Yep DRS maybe an issue but only if you started cashing in on the military information aspect, but at the end of the day a nice name and worth a fair bit imo.

Given all the recent Nominet publicity for domain renewals, then it would be interesting to see them defend a drop on a DRS that wasn't a copyright or passing off issue

What a fooking balls up. Someone's going to get shot for letting that go!

Catch all email might have been interesting, had it not been a forwarded site.

Could be branded 100 ways for any business couldn't it.

Janes Cleaners
Janes Cars
Janes Taxis
Janes Office Suppliers

Considering Jane is a pretty damned popular name, surely there are 100s of businesses that are Janes X ?, so I imagine as above long as there is no passing off or even in the same sector it would be nigh on impossible to win a DRS.

That was lucky, I was thinking that as well, that mag must have some pretty hugh contacts over the years. Still amazing that this kind of business let the name drop, can't see them doing articles on computer warfare in the future. ha.

Yes, i'd say there were quite a few emails from the UK Government thanking them the suggesting a good source of secondhand Pumas.

Lovely bird, the Routemaster of the skies!!

Just because its a forwarder doesn't mean it wasn't used for emails. Barclays bank use emails at various forwarders for different departments. I imgaine others do too.

I'd still like to know what the reserve is... I can't see the point of spending a week following an auction if the actual asking price is not something I'd be prepared to pay from the very beginning...

Alex?

Agree. The high bid is mine but I'm not going to be checking it constantly.

Ohh - okay - I got an email saying I had been outbid. Not so bad in that case. Would still prefer some idea of what it has to make so I can decide if I want to play or not.
