Interesting anti-BNP site

Most racist thing I have heard from the media today is that asians and blacks are for immigration. My ethnic friends certainly aren't for it.

You talk to one of that group, they are all for drawing up the drawbridge. So anyone that thinks anti immigration means racism needs to have another look at the subject IMO.

The debate has many sides and hopefully someone in will address it in a calm manner, rather than let BNP dictate it.

I have friends of lots of nationalities etc but I'm sure if I called them "ethnic friends" they would kick me in the nuts

I'm all for anti-racism, but I'm completely against political correctness. PC has turned the UK in to a nervous and fucked up society.

As for immigration, I think everyone should have the right to live wherever they please. Luckily the expanding EU allows for this, let's hope it expands further. I've lived all over Europe and never been the subject of racism. I've witnessed here in Scotland the hostility towards Poles from a minority of eejits. Lots of Poles live here in the NE and work damn hard, yet they face abuse on a daily basis by Scots who have never worked a day in their life. The usual claim is they are taking jobs from locals.. the same locals who have been on benefits since they were 16

As for immigrants stealing our jobs, arent the main areas of work for immigrants the health service and working in fields. How many doctors do you see unemployed? How many brits want to go and work in a field for minimum wage?

Difference is Pen, Australia don't let people in and automatically house them, give them benefits and nhs.
They let in skilled people with money in the bank who are going to contribute in the trades they need and not bleed the country dry.

Ukip want to pull out of europe and clamp down on immigration and introduce a points system for entry as per Oz but without the mp's who can't string a conversation together. Even though I feel I am becoming a minority in this country I wouldn't want the likes of Nick Griffin and his retards running the country. Ukip seem a decent alternative to me.

Are you an expert on eastern European voices? Perhaps they were western Asian. How do you know?

Quite a few comments on this thread could be elightened by looking up the difference between migration (economic!) and immigration.

The UK have got the most draconian anti-immigration laws in Europe. It's only certain newspapers & the BNP who keep perpetuating the myth we dont.

As above I think most on here are worried more about economic migration (and the reasons behind it - overseas and closer to home!) , which is a totally different thing.

This is a sore subject for me because my wife is eastern European, and I have no time for ignorent folks who lump all eastern Europeans in the same category.

I don't care where the immigrants come from, eastern europe, pakistan, africa or bermondsey.
There also seems to be one way traffic for racism here. It's front page news for Jade Goody making racist comments about shilpa shetty but Fine for Jermain Jackson to call someone a honkey.
Also if we go abroad we are expected to live by that countries rules and if not suffer a public flogging or have your hand lopped off. Whereas here we have to change the rules and not hurt their feelings.
That is why people vote bnp imho.

Anyone from the EU should be allowed to settle here, they should agree to respect the laws of the land and integrate in our society.

Anyone from outside the EU it should be a points system and or a cap on numbers. They shouldn't hold extremist views or have a criminal record and until they become a British citizen if they break the law they should get deported.

I believe if you choose to seek asylum in this country you should not try to change it to suit your religious or social beliefs, you come here because it allows you the freedoms that you cannot get in your country of origin, if you come here and don't like it, hard luck, either put up with it or go home.

I said that just because Hitler liked a cuppa and so do I then to draw lines that meant I was 100% in support of him/his actions was a stupid simplistic viewpoint.

I posted the above 'quote' as if that is the case then its an interesting take from the proverbial horses mouth. It is a relevant insight regarding the BNP / Nick Griffin as I think Hitler knows what he was talking about by being a devious nazi.

You raise a good worrying point, these people are not idiots, they are clever enough to 'rebrand' as per the earlier quoted video and pick 'arguements' that are unargueable while disguising their true aims.

I like my Welsh national identity, but I am not racist. The ficko BNP'ers would say thats the same thing I do dismiss them as idiots for such simplistic links, sadly people dont think things through and see any difference.
