Hosting who do you use?

Properhost.

A good cheap reseller option for people who don't have bucketloads of traffic.

Generally very happy with them.

Had a slight issue when one poorly configured wordpress and database site gobbled up stacks of CPU and threatened to bring everything crashing down.

Tools eh control panel are fairly primitive but simple for the less technically skilled ie me.

you really have to let people know who you chose, and in a manner that we don't have to look through a lot of posts. :)
i use 1and1 and alentus. also like godaddy. have used a few cheaper or free hosts but basically keep small sites there. here is my number rule ... must reply to inquiries within 4 to 5 hours and must have backup.

Hi, There are thousands of web hosting providers but you can find reliable and affordable webhost by reading review and customer testimonials over different review sites and then a make decision.

How many review sites are not funded by hosting advertising :)

Ask your mates who they go with in preference to reading fabricated reviews designed to get you to click on hosting affiliate links! Better still do your own research.

I use streamline (uk) for hosting - we get a block of websites (eg 10) but can have unlimited website size and visitors; I prefer this to another hosting sytem where I had to guess what percentage of resources to allocate to sites a, b c etc and then kept getting emails saying site a was nearing maximum usage.

I've been using slhost.com and solarvps.com for hosting for many years now. Slhost are pretty odd, been taken over 4 times since I started out with them. Each time a different level of service and competence sadly but I've stuck with them as the price/performance is right. Solarvps are more expensive but a very professional hosting company at the price point.

I've dabbled with amazon hosting which was quite interesting for high demand sites - 300k visits per day for example.

I used Blue Hosting, IX Web Hosting but its not as much that fast , but are cheap compared to otherss, has very good customer support

I use many providers, such as Pickaweb, Memset, Uk2 and Rackspace. Rackspace is my favourite.

Choosing the hosting server is really really difficult. In fact all of them claim to provide the best hosting and service but when it comes to experience then the reality is some what different:) That`s way i will recommend you to host the website only on the server that is reliable and the support is very very best.

I am using mochahost.com and this is pretty good and cost economical hosting provider.

Yes used them all rack space is good but at the higher price compared to the others however the support is a lot better

Although quite expencive compared to others, I have reseller hosting with Heart Internet. Offers me unlimited (well, more space than i'd ever use) hosting for as many domains as I want, all in the same place.

I've used it for a couple of years now, for my own websites, and for customers/friends who pay me a hosting fee. The supports pretty good, and I've never had any problems.

I use TSOhost for 1 site but find the lack of LiveChat a pain, so I use Justhost for most of my sites

They are due to release a new updated website soon (apparently its 99% done) and it may have a live chat feature (just speculating).

Its never bothered me as a quick email to support@tso gets answered within a few minutes anyway, and of course they have a phone line that is manned between 9am and 11pm. :)
