Good when it suits you

"Your control panel currently has limited functionality"

This is pants.

You are able to register a domain using your stored payment card details (which remain valid until expiry) which I did today. However, because the card is about to expire you cannot access the domain control panel to set any of the functions after you have made the purchase.

Sure enough I can update my details but since you used the 'old details' to make the purchase then surely I should have access to the domain's account functions?

actually the search function sucks and is broken in a few regards, have sent Sam a pm
their response and fix will go some way to whether they are much cop in my eyes :)

@KingDomainNames
@pred

The two issues you mentioned should now be fixed guys! Will PM you individually to let you know but both have been fixed. Thanks for your feedback!

Hi All!

As I'm sure all of you are aware, Nominet have added a surcharge to single year registrations. Therefore we have added single year registrations at £4.99 + VAT.

However our multi-year pricing will not be changing. If you renew the domain for 2 years or more you will pay the same great price you always have with us.

If you have any questions about our multi-year pricing please don't hesitate to ask!

Thanks
Sam

We have no plans to change this pricing in the future. This is dependant on registry prices which are now unlikely to change for some time. You can see a full price list on the Domain Registration page on Domainmonster.com.

If you have any questions about our multi-year pricing please don't hesitate to ask!

So this ruse of saying hi, is turning out a means to just spam this forum? If I owned this site I would be deleting your links (Google juice).

@foz I can assure you that spamming the forum was not my intention. I have removed the links from my post and changed the tone of the message. The reason I posted this information was because there have been a number of people who asked me about our multi year pricing and wanted to know if our prices would be changing. I simply wanted to make that information clear publicly. Apologies if the tone was inappropriate.

In response to this I will no longer include links to Domainmonster.com in my posts unless a user specifically requests a URL to a specific page.

Thanks everyone,
Sam

Hi Everyone!

Sorry we couldn't include .co.uk domains in our selling platform in this initial release.

At the moment there is an issue with using our instant transfer systems with .co.uk domains. We are not ruling out developing it, it's just a bit more complex than with the gTLDs we've set up!

We understand everyone here at Acorn would like to see this functionality so we will keep it in mind going forward.

The list of domains that you can currently list using the premium name function on Domainmonster.com is as follows:

.biz
.co
.com
.info
.me
.net
.org

Hopefully some of you will still get to take advantage of the platform. We're partnered with Sedo MLS and Name Media (Afternic) so your domain is going to get great exposure to give you the best chance of a sale.

If you have any other questions on the process please don't hesitate to let me know, either in the thread, PM or by emailing [email protected].

Thanks guys!
Sam

I must have missed this intro, I like others have been praising DM and using them for about 4 years, had some nice catches from DM.

My only snag which I don't blame DM for is the fact that if I transfer a domain to someone else then it still appears in my DM control panel :(

Anyway welcome aboard Monster

ps. don't listen to 123-reg, they will mistreat the monster

Seeing as .uk is the 2nd biggest country registry, don't you think it might be worth a little effort? If you can crack it I would imagine you would have a fair bit of market advantage.

Stephen.

@pred - Hi, am going over to the other thread now to respond.

@fish - If you would like to PM me to follow this up fish I will happily do so. Would just need the email that you sent the ticket from.

@doodlebug - Thanks for the feedback! As I've said before we are not changing the way that we operate. We are still operationally independent from Host Europe Group and will continue to be. We are however, extremely excited about the prospects the takeover brings us in terms of the resources available to us and the services we can offer. Also, please send me over a PM with the domains that still appear in your account that you don't actually own any more. As long as the WHOIS shows a different TAG or they have been transferred internally, I can remove them from your account for you!

@Brassneck - Stephen we will be working towards getting the .co.uk domains listed. The issue lies with keeping TLDs consistent. We want the listing and selling experience to be identical between TLDs. Unfortunately our current system of instant purchase and transfer cannot be applied to UK domains. Over time we will hopefully get the two systems to integrate correctly as moving forward we realise how important .co.uk domains are to our customers.

Thanks all!
