Yes I remember now, the domain was renewed before it was deleted so it definitely didn't drop. I guess DG must have bought it of Siticom then. Bet that cost a lot.

2 letter .co.uk domain names cannot be transferred

I think you might be wrong there because both the ownership and tag have definitely been changed in the last two weeks.

You will probably find that the owner of the domain is still the same just the registrants details have been updated to show the correct registrant

I don't understand what you're saying, the Registrant details are DG whilst before they were something else (Siticom Ltd which is a French company), that to me is a change of registrant, yes.

In the interests of ending any confusion and/or wild speculation, can those in the know perhaps clarify if the recent "changes" were (as per here) either:

* Completion of our transfer process;
* By an order made by an expert under our Dispute Resolution Service; or
* By an order of a court of competent jurisdiction.

or a registration correction?

Then we can put it to bed and get on with arguing about other stuff :mrgreen:

Nominet would not make changes to a domain unless everything was done properly and above board with all of the relevant documents being produced.

As far as I'm concerned everything was done correctly, above board and in accordance with Nic requirements.

Who cares anyway, it's worthless as it can't be sold on without producing some kind of fraudlent documents.

Apologies for cross-posting but I think this is important. I wrote the following in another thread today. It goes to credibility.

I think it is now fair to point out that all the objections I saw on this board yesterday to the FL.co.uk transfer were unfounded. The registrant who applied for this transfer provided proof (as per the policy here) that he was entitled to the domain name. Nominet acted in good faith and in line with its policy in this instance, so all the accusations that were flying around were without merit.

There was no fraud here.

Just to quell the curiosity I can say that the only reason the deal was done was because by pure fluke/ chance a friend of mine who is a lawyer knew the company who owned the domain and through that he arranged it. It was all legtimate and above board and Nominet were most pedantic in ensuring everything was so. That is it in a nutshell and end of the discussion as far as I am concerned.
