You have been conditioned by daily rag propaganda, over reporting on non-white criminal activity.

The statistical correlation between knife crime and race is not an accurate social indicator. Expulsion from school (lack of education), age, poverty and exposure to domestic abuse are.

It's worth watching a considerable amount of interviews with Akala. He's even worth a follow on Twitter to add a bit if diversity and alternative thinking to your timeline (I'm also a huge fan of his music).

Ah so not about black lives matter then, you are saying it's about any social deprivation .

In relation to this snippet from your message - correct.
So for instance I was absolutely fearful of the last labour leadership getting the keys to No 11. I considered if we could stop that then at least we were going forward with hope.

So what changes would you propose to solve the problems of social deprivation and how would it work ?

Regarding your irrational and unfounded fears of Labour being voted into power, I will provide just as much information and evidence to move forward with my hope;

I would fix education and fix poverty, which would in turn fix domestic abuse.
Your objectives are admirable but how would you do that.

One thing I have noticed about you is the eagerness for your opposition to bring references and elaboration to the table just so you can deconstruct it and discover any potential flaws.

Why are you so opposed to statues and monuments being torn down, and place names being renamed?

I am honestly interested in how you might design things to meet your objectives. The reason most people are happy is because they can't offer overall suggestions as to how to improve things other than fix this and fix that. You said "I would fix education and fix poverty, which would in turn fix domestic abuse." But you can't say how you would do it. Now if you try to fix something that is arguably not broken you run the risk of actually breaking it and therein lies my need to be convinced by any argument that says we want change. The road to change can lead to change for the worse.

You say "I wouldn't have the first idea how to fix the issues mentioned"
Well at least that is honest. But my point has been all along that people have always, depending on how they feel, demanded their problems be solved when they have no idea how that would be achieved. But hey we live in a free country where we are allowed to whinge and air our views. Lets protect our country, our economy , our way of life that Churchill won for us. Let's celebrate the fact that minorities can live and worship in a country that Churchill saved from fascism. The fact that we have professional activists who earn a living championing stupid causes and capitalising on the gullible to line their own pockets is something that is a sad part of Freedom and we will have to learn to live with.

But hey we live in a free country where we are allowed to whinge and air our views. Lets protect our country, our economy , our way of life.

You would like to think humanity is striving for a never ending curve up in terms of living standards and equality of opportunity

You can always say "things are better than they were" or "we do things better than them" but it doesn't help or progress things

If you took that approach throughout history then we never would have gotten anywhere

I know people are afraid to say this but should we not take more responsibility for our own well being. Do we rely too much on the state to look after us ? The last guy to be shot in the USA need not have been killed, I know the police are ultimately at fault but had the guy surrendered himself to the police who were polite to him then he would be alive. If we all took responsibility for our own actions our police, our NHS our local councils, all our public services would function more efficiently. Is it too much to ask for people to behave themselves. Just a radical thought.

Do you know how many different disabilities there are, and just how debilitating some can be?
Do you know how difficult life can be for the many people who are on the autistic spectrum?
How many people and families are in poverty through no fault of their own?
How many ex-military suffering from mental health and PTSD?
What about the many people that volunteer their time to help others in difficulties, who themselves need help and respite?
The amount of child carers who have been unable to have a childhood?
The number of neglected, lonely and alzheimer suffering individuals and couples?
What about those individuals and families that have at least one family member getting treatment for, or coming to terms with terminal illnesses?
People with genuine learning difficulties, but are eager to work and learn?
Migrants escaping war-torn countries that we still continue to pillage and plunder for commodities under the guise of over-throwing dictatorship or weapons of mass-destruction.

Yeah, let's drop the state help and make them take responsibility for themselves. What a drain on society they all are.

You have totally misunderstood my post and the reason is because you are like all of us preconditioned to only see what you agree with and ignore what you don't. a person less capable of taking care of their own well being would obviously contribute less to their well being than the person who is very capable of taking care of his own well being. The people who are more capable should always contribute more, as mostly they do. Read my post again it's nothing to do with disabilities it's to do with capable people who don't take responsibility for their own well being . I used the last police killing as an example, had he not resisted arrest he would be alive. You can blame whatever you wish but he is still dead and life is precious. It's about behaviour, should people generally behave better, would that not in itself solve most of our social problems.
