I really want someone to explain the following, and this isnt me digging a hole or making things worse, this is just me wanting an explanation as the prove is in this thread and my comments what I'm about to say should make you understand were I am coming from.

In the screen shot which SLATER posted, Nismo has 302 posts, yet his post in the thread (post number 302 was his clarification), so how did he have 302 posts BEFORE midnight, when post 302 was made after 01:12 AM ?

am i going mad and just clutching at straws...

If you check any old PMs in your inbox, they all have the sender's current post count, it isn't a static value so will show the post count at the time of the screen shot, not the time the message was sent.

I shall now return to my lurking and enjoy the show!

Nismo posted his 302nd post at 01:12 AM, Slater posted the screenshot at 01:17 AM, so, shortly after Nismo made post number 302, Slater then went and took the screenshot and posted it, no big mystery

Because the forum software doesn't record your (then) current post count with each post, it shows the current count of the member.
Go back to your earliest post on the forum, and you'll see what i mean.

I think Barry may have been confused by the fact that the timestamp of 11.59 is when Slater received the PM from Nismo. However the post count shown in that screenshot isn't a reflection of the number of posts that had been made by Nismo at 11.59, rather at when the screenshot was taken; which is time after 11.59. So one figure (the timestamp that the PM arrived) is fixed. The other figure (the total post count made) is not fixed.

I can personally vouch for Nismo (Richard) as being a straight up guy and very true to his word. He is one of the genuine ones around here and would not shaft anyone, I am 100% confident about that. If he said he sent that message, then it is a certainty that he did

Barry your last post still indicates that you still think there may have been some deception on the part of myself or Nismo which is simply not the case.

Had you sent me an offer via PM for £5000 any time during the day you would have been the winner.

I'd appreciate if you didn't make any more posts in this thread questioning the integrity of either myself or Nismo.

Agree, all this post opportunity whinging is ridiculous. If folk really wanted the name that bad, then they had plenty of time to go in with their best offer.
