stand corrected. was under impression you couldn't even ask for more than $10k unless you had appraisals. sorry sedo!
still good idea to do for free! ;)
cheers, pred

Couldn't see their actual appraisal...

Did see the blokes asking $100k though...

TBH - Sedo have stated in the past that their unappraised max is £5k but once valued over that, the seller can essentially put in what ever price they want to ask for...

Personally, I'd like to see the actual appraisal document before making any rash comments...

parked page: Traders.CC - Business Community Group!

Seller's price expectation: 100,000 EUR

Where does it say Sedo endorse what the seller puts down as 'expected price' ?

This is like you listing abc123.org.uk for £100,000 and then me blaming sedo that you are asking too much.

NB: posted this on acorn domains in sedo section. let's get a reply from sedo over this at least. they deserve to lose trade also.

Deserve to lose trade?!

Perhaps an apology to sedo? It isnt their fault you dont know the difference between an expected/asking price and an appraisal :(

dudes,
fair enough corrected thread. some bloke on the original thread mentioned you can ask whatever you like on price expecting. basically the bloke who originally posted the thread may be a conartist. i don't know. i assumed it was sedo who did an appraisal & he could then set his price limit at what he wanted as over $10k. sorry sedo if this is not the case.
can anyone clarify how it works then? i always thought it would have to be appraised over $10k to even ask more?!
maybe i was too quick to comment. it happens to us all! ;)

Great thing about the sedo appraisal system IS their extensive database of recorded sales.

Another factor is the amount of 'appraised' domains that have been sold at or very near too their sedo suggested values...

TBH - IMO - very few, if any can compare with their service.

People heeding their advice is another issue... LOL
