I've changed jobs recently and the network is quite nailed down so I can't Remote desktop onto my servers. Anyone aware of a way I can connect such as via web so I can connect to desktop?

Is that configurable for that server only as I need to RDP onto numerous for work.

Problem is I can't install any programs either, that is all automated via a system, and I believe they perform periodic scans of pc's.
In my old place I could work around most stuff but not here. USB is blocked too. In old place I could hack the registry to turn it on but dont want to risk it here. May even be through group policy here.

I only bought the wifi version as I only use at home. Once I buy the kindle fire I'll be ok but that's not til xmas.

Teamviewer, Logmein etc might be worth considering. They have a secure channel of communication with their respective servers and are available for connectivity via a web browser.

If you're not wishing the network admins to know though, beware that they might be using monitoring software on port 80. We use Watchguard Firewalls all the time and use WebBlocker to either block or monitor usage. most firewalls these days whether it be Watchguard, Sonic Walls have this capability. I'm not really a Cisco person but i guess with their level of usage they also have very good built in monitoring.

Yeah team viewer with the web interface is good.
But at the end of the day, you will be found. There are plenty of ways to find whats happening on the network. Proxys, firewalls even netflow to see where traffic is going. If you arent allowed to do something dont. Not worth risking your job!
