Just got my first Top Domain listing...

Guess I'm a REAL domainer now... LOL

For those of you who like a challenge, let's see if you can guess the name...
I know you monitor what goes in and out...

Just checked.... Think it's awaiting server up date...

Sent an email to get clarification...

When it is actually listed, I'll update...

After a week of suffering (trying to find them) I'll PM you the names if you can't find them...

Apparently their is an issue being sorted that is why they aren't currently showing on the UK site that Brad's getting sorted...

Getting really jealous now! Nearly 2,000 names on Sedo, customer for three years and never once has one of mine been chosen!

What's the trick?

It's down to the sedo hq choice...

Had loads rejected in the past but finally got some in...

In a way, knowing what's rejected gives an indication, in light of those listed, as to what stands a chance of being accepted...

Highly selective registrations / catches...

As Jakob put it once on here:

The basic criteria for our top domains section is one, sometimes two word generic domains from major tld's. If you check Sedo, you'll see domains like

brewery.com aerobic.com wanted.com dog.co.uk organic.co.uk discount.co.uk investor.co.uk

This is just to name a few. And all are great names with primarily .com and .co.uk extensions. You'll also find the .info and .biz in there among others, but more seldom.

We place domains in this list that we know from experience grab the most attention. Obviously we also avoid trademarks, trademark typos, and typos in general. Two word generics that have a lot of traffic can also make the list.

That's the key...

One thing life has taught me is that you don't wait for things to happen... You improvise, adapt and overcome to make them happen...

Mailed sedo many a time with names I felt suitable, esp. in the early days...

Never satified with rejection, took each step as a learning curve and determined in myself to get in the top list...

Only reason I started this thread was that I thought most, if not all you guys already had stuff 'top listed'...
I was so pleased when I was told that one had gone in...
Hence why I called it a celebration...

It's been a heck of a ride but finallly it's paid off...

I'm still baffled as to why sedo considers scorns.co.uk a top domain when it is in fact a crap domain??? It's not even parked at sedo.

TBH - Was baffled a bit too... but like I mention above, learned to just take it on the chin and press on...

Came into this game very late in the day... Been a heck of a slog as a result...

So relieved that all my efforts have finally been rewarded...

One thing I now know for sure is that all the best names haven't gone...

One I reg'ed only yesterday is now in there....

Gems are still out there... Just a case of finding them...
