Here's a cautionary tale about selling domains.
A few months ago, I was offered £12,000 for skill.co.uk by a training company.
I was tempted because I am currently rebuilding my house and living in rented accommodation whilst the building work is going on.
Instead, I went looking for a suitable affiliate program that offered skill games (rather than gambling).
I found king.com - great site, but they haven't got a clue about affiliate marketing.
Disillusioned, I seriously considered the sale option.
I went back to the training company and we had a few discussions. The price went up, but I just couldn't bring myself to sell and they weren't interested in a JV.
Well, now I am glad I didn't sell. The value of skill.co.uk just shot up.
I have found a program that will make £12K seem like peanuts.
The site will be live soon. It's in pre-launch mode right now.
It's taught me to keep my domains, whether I have an immediate use for them or not.
