Filled out forms for a 3 day $49 appraisal on Wed 16th Jan and yet to hear anything back.

Made immediate payment by Paypal and have now emailed twice to find out what's going on... anyone else got any ideas?

This is a UK generic that i want to put up for sale / auction asap, but without an appraisal I am not able to as it's above £10k

Anyone help?

Cheers

No doubt Sedo will be along with the "PM me the domain name and I'll take a look" soon :)

I think Shaun has that phrase as a shortcut key on his keyboard

Sorry, couldn't resist.

Had the same issue recently. The 3 days is from when THEY process the payment, even through it might have been paypal IPN (not eCheque). Which IMO is not justified since it took 4days to find it in their inbox! Also check your SEDO account under payments for when it's processed.

Still, I PM'd shaun and he pushed it on, then got them to do the appraisal within a day.

Oh great - but my paypal is cleared - they get instant cash...

How cr4p is this for a company that must be making a serious amount of dough on their cut...

Shaun - anyone - anyone there??

PM & email shaun. They were pretty good when they were informed about it. Maybe you can be the first one to use the new UK centre! ;)

Hi Everyone,

bb99 - That's a pretty good idea, would save me a lot of time. ;)

TinkyWinky - "PM me the domain name and I'll take a look" (see what I did there?)

Seriously though, tifosi's comment about 'three days from when the invoice is marked as paid' is correct. Nevertheless, I must issue a general apology from our side here, due to some technical faults in our accounting system that have all popped up together this month, our accounts department are a little behind with sorting through the in- and out-payments, which is affecting transfers and appraisals. This will be sorted out very soon.

Regards,

Shaun

You may as well save that as a sig as well;)

It makes you wonder would twinky still be waiting for correspondence if he hadn't have posted on these forums?

IMO the shortfallings of your accounts dept, shouldn't have any bearing on you replying to his emails, all you needed to do was email him to explain the situation.

Hi Shaun,

On two occasions in the past (around Aug - Sept 2007) the same thing happened to me. A 3 day appraisal became a 7 day appraisal. It's a shame that Sedo offer what they can't fulfill and we need to get their attention via an independent forum.

However your assistance as always is appreciated.

Hi,

I appreciate that our Paypal problems are no concern of our customers, and I apologise if you were not given any update on the appraisals you paid for at the time.

We do our best to inform our customers of any delays or problems that are occurring, feel free to contact me at any time if you feel this isn't happening!

Regards,

Shaun

Update - Shaun has been excellent in sorting this out..... cheers Shaun.

So maybe just a minor glitch that I am sure can easily be sorted out.

I had the same thing just this week. Paid for the appraisal last Tuesday via credit card (so instant payment) and when I chased them on Friday, no response.

However I was contacted by 2 different people yesterday (Monday) and had my appraisal within about half an hour.

I had the same thing a few weeks ago. I had to chase them up a week later before they started to come through!
