“Numb nuts they didn’t reg” awards

I mean.. there obviously a bias as most people here are invested in these things but at the start of the year I enquired about the .co.uk/.uk market here.

I opted to stay well away and 6 months on I am extremely happy with that decision.

Respectfully, there isn’t a market for any UK extension. If you are buying for business, you build the value.

I think the volume of ‘portfolio sales’ containing hundreds of terrible domains is testament to this fact.

As regards Manchester.uk, I wouldn’t bid on it simply because there’s so many additional hurdles to jump over in terms of building a business which you can avoid by using a more prominent namespace.

How does a business build value without a website?
How does one build a website without a domain name?
What UK small business would use a domain name extension other than a co.uk/.uk as there first choice?Unless it wants to be global...

Yes the new gTLDs are putting a downward pressure on .uk and may one day takeover, but for now the officialness and marletplace authority is still with .uk

I own more of the new gTLDs than .uk
