Just spotted that the discount codes are not being maintained 100% too.

Tribal direct shows an expired code .... not good. They should be removed or at least show the expiry date.

Time to switch them off or fall foul of the IAB code.

Discount codes have been removed. I feel overall they were not that popular and most users preferred them not to be there

Hi Doodlebug

I visited the site and it was not pointing to My Aff Site.

If you change the nameservers over to My Aff Site. Then I can take a look and see what is wrong

Well, I have set up keywords but no categories show on my page, even although categories is turned on to display (and the header bar is there).

The help doesn't help me much (in fact, the popups are serving me blank pages under IE7) ; they are very brief ... e,g. the screen that I am pointed at for entering categories only has positive and negative keywords. Are those supposed to define the category? I see that they did refine the products displayed on the overall site, but I thought that I would see a menu generated somewhere. Otherwise, how does Google find the nested products?

Sorry if I am being thick, but I can't find the answer.

I have turned on both categories and links(which are keywords)

you can add them here

http://www.myaffsite.co.uk/modulelinks.php

Thanks ... would be nice if there was an ordering function on that page.

Also, the keyword serach isn't very useful ... it would be useful to build a more complex search ... am I right in thinking that it supports one word only?

But where do the categories come from?

Just changed nameservers back to my aff nameservers and added Beachcasters.co.uk
Going to attempt to set them up.

What does it mean register now and start selling these products ?
I try adding products and just get sent back to my list of domains.

I just want to sell petrol chainsaws and accessories on Petrolchainsaws.com and beachcasters and reels and accessories on Beachcasters.co.uk

Just a few products on each and see how they go ?

Thanks Doodlebug

Hey Chris, I PM'd you several days ago about the lost revenue from a site I deleted, but no response yet. Any further forward with this?

I'm still waiting for all my outstanding payments going right back to Janaury 18th to be paid

Thanks to Chris for finally sorting out my outstanding payments going back to January, and the revenue from the store I deleted, he sent me a payment this evening for my sales commissions, he did make a mistake though, and sent me and extra £17, which was for 4 payments that are still pending , he said not to worry, if any of those 4 get declined, I'll can send that back to him.

I just wish I could figure out why my stores are not doing well in the Google search listings, when they are all doing good in Yahoo search for the same exact terms

I'll give this programme a shot when i figure it out lol
Think my 2 domains are struggling because of lack of products in my categories : Petrol chainsaws and beachcasters

I would like to get some sites set up and see what happens with them ?

is anyone having any luck with this programme?

im getting a load of visits and clicks but no sales as yet:(
is it time to move on?

I've made my 2 domain names posted in my last post into mini sites using merchant banners and Amazon products.

I never got to give this programme a try but for what i've read people are not happy :(

If conversions don't exist then you're not even going to cover your reg fees.

Can't understand why web users not purchasing

Loads of UVs and good CTR but no conversion rate doesn't make sense

I'm going to stick to mini sites

Good luck to anyone who does have sites with this programme, i believe Systreg is doing ok.

Chris : hope you get this programme sorted out, it's nice to have various income streams ;)

I believe Systreg is doing ok.

Yeah, in December, January, February and March I got quite a lot of sales and commissions, but nothing at all in April so far, not sure why, still seem to be getting the same amount of visitors, but not getting any sales for some reason

I know my sales could go up considerably if my sites were showing up well on Google, but for whatever reason, none of them are, I checked some of them again today and the best one is the mountainbikeframes site, which is on page 11 of the results, can't even see the others anywhere, although the sites are fully indexed on Google, just not showing in the results pages properly. I have a feeling that Google might be recognising myaffsite store designs as all being the same, like they do with parking pages, hence why they are not ranking well in results.

Not sure what to do, leave the stores up, and hope they pick up now that summer is on it's way and more people are back on their bikes and looking for new ones, or just call it a day and sell the domains, alternatively, try to get them showing up in Google myself by making mini sites on my domains, I don't know.

[edit]

In contrast to Google results, they are well ranked well in Yahoo search:

carbon bikes = result 2 for "carbon bikes" & "carbon bike" (usually both #1)
mountain bike frame = result 1 for "mountain bike frame" & "mountain bike frames"
mountain bike frames = result 7 for "mountain bike frame" & "mountain bike frames"
excercise bike = result 1 if choosing Show only excercise bike, otherwise page 4
tread mills = result 1 if choosing Show only tread mills
bike lights = result 15 (has been #1 for months but now dropped down)
bmx bikes = result 6

i think it may be time to move on...its a shame but it seems pointless them just sitting there.
i think i will start to change them to the same as my cherished site. only takes 10 mins and i make more from them than i ever have from myaff.

have you ever received payment from any sales?

Yes, the payments were falling behind a bit at one point, I posted about that earlier in this topic, but I have since been fully paid for all sales I made.

Edited my last post to add some Yahoo search result to compare to Google.

Yes, seems to be Google disciminating against My Aff, like Boxerdog said ashame but pointless just sat there.

Goodluck with yours Systreg if you keep them there ?

I don't make the best mini sites but they're good enough and i have Marshall Mathers ranked at 28 on Google and 3 on Yahoo for the term Marshall Mathers which does get 4400 exacts pm.

I would crack on with mini sites if i was you mate, maybe do some more fraud ones, you seem to like them ;)

PS* Kev, Jennifer Lopez is going to DRS you lol

The Lopez domain I had is long sold mate.

Not sure what I'll do with my bike sites yet, whether to leave them on there or what.

My anti fraud sites aren't really to make money from, all I have on them is some Adsense, I bought them mainly to get information about scams out to the general public, many of whom don't have a clue about them, any potential victim who is enlightened a bit is payment enough for me.

I guess if not making money from them then just stick to the ones you have, can't believe people still fall for them bank e-mails, my mate got one 2 weeks ago, he said is it a scam ? i explained the whole 419 to him and he still said what if it's genuine

Some people are gulible :(

I am setting up 2 sites, 1 about exercising safely and the other about looking after your heart, whatever money they do earn will go back into the sites.

I'm off to bed now so back on in about 4 hours lol

I'm still getting the odd few quid in commission from the handful of sites I have with myaffsite. Just logged in to see cyclebag.co.uk has had a shitload of visits and clicks and made 4 sales in the last week, making about 5 quid from wiggle. No idea why, it's a hand reg that makes no sense, and the only promotion it has is in my sig here, so myaffsite must be decent with SEO.

I'd still like to see more of Chris around though, his site can be shit hot if he makes a wee bit of effort to keep folks informed ;)
