I'm fine with an increase but I wonder if it could be configurable by each forum member, which is what I believe the previous forum software permitted?

Yes to more posts per page, not exactly like we are running 56k modems anymore!

Less adsense..but you guys never click them anyway so it wont make any difference

If your advertising isn't based on page views and you're basing the decision solely on user experience then go ahead, If page views play a big part in your revenue stream then probably a good idea to consider it carefully.
