Your first PC / Games console ?

I had a Grandstand 6000 then a Commodre Vic 20 follwed by a Spectrum +2.

I still have the Spectrum +2 in working order with 300 plus games and I also have one of these in the original box.

ZX80, then BBC Micro.

Commodore Vic 20, I couldn't afford the C64. I was too busy using my 'bits' for the population-explosion. After that they were all self builds - kids and computers

started using 1 of these in school (1979)

Then my dad bought me these...

i used to love the speccy, hacking poke codes and building expansion boards.

Like many here, from the ZX80 through '81, Speccy etc. Various others like Apple II, Vic 20, PC XT, QL on the way as well, until the PC took over.

• ZX81 WITH 16k ram expander bought many a magerzine and spent silly amounts of time entering tonns of code for it to not work because of 1 error.
  IF A=5 then goto HELL lol
• Hand Held (sort of) "Cave man", "Pac Man" and a few others
• 
• Woody Atari and then the moderner version - River Raid,
• C64 - Chucky Egg, Manic Miner Ahhhh those were the days
• 1st PC was an 2nd hand old dusty 486 with green screen. (rubbish it was)
• 2nd realy PC you had to upgrade for extra money to inc a sound card and from 1 speed to quad speed CD rom. I think it was a P90 CPU

Out of interest hasnt CPU growth in speed now ground to a hault?
