I think its a bit of a shame woolworths has down hill, way i hear it they was just in far too much debt.

I work for Argos part time and apparently woolies approached them to buy them

Although this whole "Crunch" doesn't effect Argos at all as they don't actually buy any of there stock. Companies give them the stock and once it is sold Argos pay for the item. I am sure there is a name for this but I'm not fully up on this business lark as i should be :p

On a side note, i think Nominet should just be nice and give me this domain. :D
 
mfi is not really irrelevant to the original question because its going down the same path as woolies (and more to follow..) and hence presents a similar opportunity.. but then that might have passed you by when ones enjoying life to the full on the one and only "The Island of Mustique, St. Vincent & The Grenadines"!


The comparison with mfi.co.uk is irrelevant because Woolworths have never traded under or promoted the aforementioned domain name as far as I am aware (or if they have, it hasn't been for a long time). Therefore who owns it isn't immediately obvious.

I don't believe in giving out free lunches on forums. :)

Notice of Administrators' Appointment


Neville Kahn, Dan Butters and Nick Dargan of Deloitte & Touche LLP were appointed as Joint Administrators of Woolworths plc and Entertainment UK Limited on 27 November 2008.

The affairs, business and property of the companies are being managed by the Joint Administrators. The Joint Administrators contract as agents of the companies and without personal liability.
