Owned by Woolworths which are in administation, what do you think will happen with it?

Not much of a businessman are you!
I know what happens when a company goes into liqudiation :p I should have phrased my question differently -

Do you think this will be sold off by creditors or allowed to drop?

Main brand will die off but sub elements absorbed by others - that will be part of absorbed elements.

You misunderstood my flippant response.

95% of us here knew about it but it had not been bought up into conversation. Perhaps there is a reason for that

Didn't realise it was such a secret topic! Simply wondered what would happen as they are such a big company.

it's got RESERVED by Nominet written all over it anyway.

It doesn't taken Albert Einstein to figure out that smart "domainers" would have had their eyes on this domain name. Why? Because they just would have. From there you could easily presume that some of those would be trying to or already in contact with Deloitte. Those doing so would hardly be interested in publishing the fact on here. Instead of joining them, you decide to make it open knowledge by raising it on here. That puts you at the opposite end of smart in my opinion.

Your actual question is pointless because nobody knows what will happen to it. It might get retained by Woolworths Group Plc, somehow, as they are not in liquidation. It might get sold independently, it might get sold in with some other "stuff", or if the liquidator is really stupid it might drop (unlikely). If you thought about your question before posting you could have come up with all these possible outcomes and probably more, without posting.

Finally your comment about not realising it was such a "secret" is immature, posted by you as if firestars was somehow in the wrong for being one of several keeping the information to himself. Smart people don't reveal potential business openly on forums before the business is concluded.

Why did you get agitated? He just asked a question.

mfi .co.uk - much better :D

(doh.. the phones engaged with all the domainers trying to speak to the liquidators)

ohh no i've blown a really big secret..

tough shit..

get over it..

ex-girlfriend, is that you??? didn't know you liked domains too...

invincible - you seem really annoyed at what is really just a normal question on this forum, a bit over the top in my opinion. I guess we can all now assume that you were after the domain name and were confident in getting it. Highly unlikely the domain would have dropped anyway.

tifosi - since when is www.co.uk a 2 letter domain, think of it as www.www.co.uk

Unlike ours, the Woolworths in Australia is a very successful business mainly because it's more like a supermarket, i.e selling food.
