Wanted: Website Review WP Site

Anyonne willing to give some constructive criticism on a WP blogish type site i've put together. I want an opinion of if the format is worth persuing and also some guidance to why it's not getting much traffic. I have only submitted to the 3 main search engines so far though! Woud appreciate some ideas of where to submit to as well.
The quality of some posts aren't great on some though as they were rushed to get the layout in place but a few are ok but not ranking. I have put some affiliate links in some posts using pretty links so am unsure if this is detrimental or not?
Also I've noticed in awstats that its showing these 2 sites linking to mine

The links could be referral spam, oldskool technique to try and exploit public stats.

Are they detrimental to my site at all? can I block them in any way such as webmaster tools?

this is what I do for those types of referral, not on all sites I have but ones I value over others. I keep adding the shite sites as and when I find them/can be bothered (you could end up doing this all day every day to keep on top of it ..)

I block them through htaccess with this format, note the back slash before the .

the last domain in your list should end [nc]

check that your site still works when doing this!
