I tried for 2, I got billed for 2, I actually got 1.

After Caz and Sean posted they were seeing good interest my domainer addiction kicked in and I took some more, but that was well after the drop time - probably an indication that the names aren't that great! I don't even know if they were on the premiums list, I just took some I found on bulk availability checks.

I would remind everyone to do a whois check at whois.nic.wales for everything you think you got, just because your registrar sent you a bill means nothing. (I have one that I have been billed for that is still showing available from hours ago).

In any case I am happy with what I have and wish all Acorners good luck with their purchases. I will be updating www.name.wales with my latest purchases, if anyone wants to list theirs there send me a list - I am pointing mine to Sedo for the transaction part (need to rethink this after their price hike).

Has anyone developed a .wales and got any Google ranking for it yet?

From what can easily be seen, Admin had only registered 1 by the time he posted his comment at 3:47pm, the other 7 were registered between 3:50pm - 8:59pm, so he was being truthful. Looks to me like Invincible didn't drill down enough on the details on this occasion.

He has zone file access to the whole WALES WHOIS DB, nice to have.

I'm switching my focus from registering to developing and then SEO / ranking. My big question is will Google favour the extension if people have the word" WALES" in their Search? I guess time will tell.
