Why don't sedo send out reminders to let you know when an auction is coming to a close. If I bid on an ebay item, I get prompted by email that the auction is ending soon.

Sedo send out an email to let you know the auction you had participated in has ended. What good is that?

I got caught up with other things and forgot that a name I was interested in was ending and didn't get to increase my bid price. Which means the seller didn't get the best price for his domain.

Please Sedo, send out an email to those who have placed a bid in an auction to remind them that auction will be ending soon. The seller gets more money. Sedo get more money. Buyers get another chance to raise their offer.

This is not rocket science!

why doesn't sedo fix their automated emails so it doesn't say "...a a counter offer" - this has been mentioned before.

also, why doesn't sedo make transfer happen quicker? why do we have the chase it up?

You'll be waiting a long time for answers.

I get the 'you have been outbid' emails.

If you cant remember to log in and check after that, then what would it take? A cattle prod?

True, I get the you have been outbid emails. But sometimes there is still 4 or 5 days for the auction to run and it is not a high enough priority at the time.

Ebay's "cattle prod" method of reminding me in the closing hours of an auction has had me spending money on several occasions.

I log in as soon as I get that email and I always put the end date in Google calender which emails me to remind me too.

But you are right, Sedo should alert anyone that has expressed an interest when there is 6 hours to go..

The question should not be "Why doesn't Sedo?"

The question should be "Why IS Sedo?"

Joke of a company that I have said several words about before. I'll say no more ;)

There is a setting on the watch list settings for notifying X hours before the end, but the thing has never worked for me.

Hi Mojoco

I have forwarded your suggestion to our web product manager.

Thank you for your feedback.

Kind regards

FYI - this is from the product manager:

That’s a good suggestion. I can talk to my team about it. Maybe, once buyer places a bid the domain could be automatically placed on their watchlist with the option selected to notify them 6 hours before the auction ends.

Thanks!

Joanna, Does that mean I will be due a commission from Sedo? lol :)
