ok now im really interested in these scripts, this is my daily update as to what I think I need to do.....

when domain is available send the mail that will be PGP encrypted with your TAG.

I dont have a tag so I will need my domain host to do this for me, however I dont know how familiar he is with the 'urgentcy' of the matter. Ie is his online system on buying domains instant?

I could I suppose try and right the script and ask him to use it, do you think he will use it?

I know the daily limted of requests per 24 hours is 1000, so doest that mean:
1440 minutes per day, so with my rubbish maths, every 40 minutes your scripts can do a REQUEST or QUERY?

Any help from any one?
or should we carry on the talks offline,???

I'm not being funny dapper but all the info you need is on this forum and on the nominet website, you just need to do some serious reading. Dropcatching is a very competitive business and no one is going to hand over all the info you need to be able to successfully catch anything.

It will also start to take up alot (all) your time.

It is worth considering whether you really want this to be your main time consumer - for the sake of a string of letters!

Your choice, make the right decisions early!

you look at the whois and if it says under relevant dates
last updated . . .

and doesn't have a registered on date then it was probably registered before nominet got involved = prenom.

i dont think thats entirely correct.

I was monitoring a prenom from deleting.co.uk and from susp state , some one registered it on the :

Relevant dates:
Registered on: 19-Jun-2006
Renewal date: 19-Jun-2008

Registration status:
Registration request being processed.

My next question is, as this was a prenom and now registered, does this loose its value?

As now it not a prenom right?

A domain isnt valuable because its a prenom, it is valuable because it is a good domain - prenoms were all registered before 1996 which means that loads of prenoms are top notch domains!
