Well the fight was a bit of a let down.

Yeah, I stayed up too. Mayweather's style, while technically top rate, does lead to the odd borefest. I was hoping he'd lose but it wasn't to be.

It really annoys me when they call Floyd a fighter, he is a boxer, he boxes for points, he doesn't go out there to fight.

The jokes on twitter about mayweather hugging are much more entertaining than the match was

Thank god for MMA

Also vs Mcgregor at 145lbs is guaranteed to be awesome.

Didn't watch the fight, but yesterday, I was at the market selling our hand made chocolate truffles and other assorted chocolate goodies.

Writing computer programs and making chocolate for a living, some people just have it rough :)

How close to the bells are you? can it not lead to damaging your ears, or do you wear protection

Hi Murray,

The bells are anywhere between 20 feet to 80 feet above you depending on the tower.

Very occasionally a tower may have poor soundproofing and the bells are too loud in the ringing room. Normally there's a 'dead space' put in between the bell room and the ringing room to attenuate the sound so that's it's fine when you're ringing.

If you're curious, use this link http://dove.cccbr.org.uk/home.php to find the towers near you.

Cheers,

Luke

So with you on that Murray, MMA kicks boxings a$$. I hope Aldo spanks McGregor, he needs taking down a peg or two.

Well the fight was a bit of a let down.

yes was a total let down manny was not the same fighter as old, maybe that brutal knock out he suffered has finally caught up with him.

but I guess you have to credit mayweather with excellent dancing skills! maybe he should audition for that dancing programme on the bbc!

also I felt the ref did not help the fight, if I am right that ref has been in the middle 8 times now for Floyd. I feel it needed a stronger ref last night.

ps just hoping that Klitschko beats Tyson fury if they meet but I feel in 12/18 months time Anthony Joshua will beat them both.

I am researching dogs at the moment. Interesting wiki link for popular Kennel club breeds http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_most_popular_dog_breeds.

This will be mostly my dog but my parents who live down the road will share responsibility. It can't be a large dog neither a dog which is to small so i'm currently thinking an English Cocker Spaniel. A dog which is 2nd on UK's kennel club popularity says alot imo.

Our springer is 1 now, a really loving family dog who is so intelligent, he opens all doors in the house, we even have to remove the key from the patio doors because he will stand up and keep hitting the key until it unlocks then pull the handle down and let himself into the garden.
My god he has a lot of energy to burn, I thought Boxers were lively! Great excuse to get out for some nice long walks though.

Cocker will need a lot of exercise!

Really?. I need to look into the exercise requirements!. I'm a keen walker, so this will force me to exercise and get fit!, plus my dad who retires from the navy/mod in the next 1/2 years will take on duties. So a dog that can exercise 6 hours per week min is a must. "english cocker spaniels" are only about 14kg in weight. Springer is the larger cocker breed.

Are you going to get a puppy or a grown rescue dog?

My mum got a labrador/springer cross rescue dog called Harry at the start of the year, he is 3, had been in a kennels pretty much his whole life

He slotted in to the family very quickly, lovely dog, always happy and affectionate.

I would look into getting a rescue dog if you haven't yet, a lot less hassle than a puppy and it's nice to be able to give them a home.

Here he is

We have some very knowledgeable people on our forum that could give you advice www.petforums.co.uk

Weve got a 2 yr old Basset Hound, plenty of character but can be stubborn!

+1 get a rescue dog where possible, give them a chance at a happy life.

PS - Spaniels need a lot of walking, our neighbour got one recently and he does 4 x 1 hour walks per day and it still bounces around with energy to burn!
