What would you do if you won the lottery ?

Keep a modest percentage to see me through to retirement and beyond (say 20%), but probably give £4M of it to brain tumour research.

Very noble of you programmer.

I'd probably secure my family's future I.e clear all mortgages and set up some trust funds for my brother, nephew and nieces.

I'd donate some to Kiva and loan to people through the programme.

I'd also try to get more involved in charitable work as I've lost a few people to diseases like cancer.

Aside from that I'd live a really comfortable life.

I tried setting up a baby charity for an issue which gets swept under the carpet by the government so I guess I would use some for that aswell.

1.5m on about 10 properties to let out.
1m on a house and filling it with stuff.
500k on a few cars and insurance etc.
500k in the bank
500k invested in expanding a few businesses a bit quicker.
1m given away to family etc

Or there abouts

pretty much that... though may merge the car & house money and buy 2-3 houses inc 1 abroad.

Put £1m into savings account.
A nice house for my parents.
Buy the Audi R8 Spyder.
Nice flat in central London.
Buy 2 premium domains; one for flipping for at least 5 times its value and the other for keeping to generate a nice consistent income.
Then the rest on g-strings and worcester sauce crisps.

Yes, my youngest child has suffered from them for 7 years. I don't care about money to be honest, enough to get by for her and us is all that matters, I'd happily give away excess cash for research!
