Once the .uk release is all done and dusted, what will be the next Nominet registration release? .com.uk.... .net.uk.....??

I'm sure any 'bonuses' will be sitting in Panama accounts now :p Either that or they'll have tenants.

I think they'll change the drop system so all domains drop like the RoR each day, in one big batch and with "better" access for the big boys.

As an effective monopoly, all of the above will be tempting possibilities- and resistance is futile :(

Whatever it is, you can be sure it will be painstakingly thought out over many months...of meetings in the Bahamas.

Martin's suggestion of a future .eng may well be tempting, seeing as wales are allowed .cymru.

And if Scotland opts for independence in a second referendum, all the more case for a .eng domain.

I am quite surprised, actually, that .eng has not been initiated already as a NewTLD.

One thing I've noticed is that GoDaddy, who will sell you things in countless New TLDs, still won't sell .scot

Is there a problem with .scot ? Since it's sold elsewhere (and I've bought .scots) I presume not, but I've never understood why GoDaddy gives it the cold shoulder?

If Nominet were that smart they would've auctioned the .uk domains themselves.

In other words, can't really trust them on what to do next.

What happened to .gb?

Suspect theta that wont win out if it does happen. Would rely on there being a Great Britain. Suspect at some point post Brexit, Scotland will get independence. It nearly happened last time ( which thankfully it didnt ) It would need to be England specific.

dot eng ? dot en ?
